Is Fallout on Netflix? (Where to stream the video game adaptation)

After the success of The Last of Us, it's no surprise that there is a lot of excitement about Fallout. Now the question for fans is where the video game adaptation is streaming.

The Last of Us made it clear that video game adaptations work when they’re done well. Now eyes are on whether the Fallout  team can do the same. Of course, now you need to know where to stream the series.

Fallout is a post-apocalyptic series based on he video games of the same name. It picks up two centuries after a nuclear war destroyed the Earth. People now live in Vaults, and they are known as Vault Dwellers.

When there are issues with supplies in one of the Vaults, a lone Vault Dweller, Lucy, is tasked with going outside to collect supplies. In the games, we are the Vault Dweller, and we end up with various tasks along the way. I’m sure you can guess how it’s all going to play out for Lucy throughout the series.

There are already good reviews for the series, making it look like another Last of Us.

Fallout isn’t on Netflix, and it likely won’t arrive in the future

We do start this with some bad news. Fallout is not on Netflix. It also likely isn’t going to head to Netflix in the future.

This is an Amazon series. Amazon and Netflix aren’t in the habit of sharing shows. Never say “never,” but I just don’t see this happening. Not for a show like this.

Where to stream the Fallout series online

There is only one streaming home for this series. You’ll need a Prime Video subscription.

Amazon doesn’t share its content with other streaming platforms. There’s no need for it to do that, especially not with its major competitor, Netflix. It’s also rare that the content heads to Digital to buy.

You can binge-watch all eight episodes of the dystopian series right now. All eight dropped on Wednesday, April 10, days earlier than initially expected.

Fallout cast

If you’re a fan of Yellowjackets, you will recognize the main character immediately. Ella Purnell plays Lucy, the Vault Dweller who heads out on a journey to find supplies for her people.

Along the way, she comes across Cooper Howard, also know as the Ghoul. He is played by Walter Goggins, and he certainly brings the comedy to an otherwise dark and twisty series. He has been around since the bombs dropped, and he is heavily disfigured because of it. You’ll barely recognize Goggins.

The other main character in the series is Maximus, a squire to the Brotherhood of Steel. He is played by Aaron Moten, and he is there to help Lucy along the way.

The guest cast includes:

Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, Lucy’s father
Xelia Mendes-Jones as Dane, a Brotherhood of Steel member and one of Maximus’s closest friends
Mike Doyle as Mr. Spencer
Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean, Lucy’s brother
Johnny Pemberton as Thaddeus, a Brotherhood of Steel member
Michael Emerson as Siggi Wilzig
Chris Parnell as Ben
Dave Register as Chet, Lucy’s cousin
Matt Berry as “Mr. Handy,” a RobCo Industries helper bot

Fallout is now available to stream on Prime Video.
