SAG Awards have a new streaming home! Everything to know about the SAG Awards 2024 on Netflix (for the first time)

'Tis the season! The awards season that is. It feels like when one awards show is done, the next one comes along. But I'm not complaining! This is a great time to recognize the work of our favorite stars and creative teams that help bring the amazing shows and movies to life! And next up in celebrating 2023 projects is the SAG Awards 2024.

Mark your calendars! The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be presented on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024. The two-hour ceremony, taking place at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, begins streaming at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix. There will be no host per usual, but there are ambassadors Phil Dunster and Taylor Zakhar Pere who will appear during the show.

Since the ceremony is going to be streaming on the platform that means if you miss it live you can go back and watch it! If you've already cleared up your schedule though, here's when you need to tune in based on where you live:

• Eastern: 8 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 24

This is the first time the ceremony will be on Netflix, as well as streaming at all. Last year, the SAG Awards were broadcast on Netflix's YouTube channel. And the years before that, it aired live on TNT and TBS. But now, the awards show has a new home following a multiyear partnership between Netflix and the SAG Awards. How to watch the pre-show and red carpet

Pre-show details

The awards show will feature the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Official Pre-Show before the big event begins. This will feature hosts Tan France and Elaine Welteroth interviewing nominees, "highlighting the best fashion looks," and a look at the red carpet, per a press release. The pre-show will begin at 7 p.m. ET that night and be available on Netflix, and the streamer's YouTube, and TikTok accounts.

Red carpet details

Three different outlets will be hosting red carpet specials: People, Entertainment Weekly, and E!. All three will be live and begin at 6 p.m. ET. Here's how to watch from each outlet:

Barbra Streisand to be honored with a special award

Barbra Streisand, actress, producer, writer, director, and singer, is this year's recipient of the SAG Life Achievement Award. The honor is meant to recognize the recipient's "career achievements and humanitarian accomplishments," per a press release. The talent began on stage in Broadway shows, before moving on to film. She's known for movies like Funny Girl, The Way We Were, A Star Is Born, and Meet the Fockers.

This award has been given to people in the industry even before the SAG Awards show itself was established! The very first awards show debuted in 1995. The first person to receive the Life Achievement award was comedian, actor, dancer, singer, songwriter, film producer, screenwriter and author Eddie Cantor in 1962. Actress Sally Field was honored last year.

The Devil Wears Prada reunion and other presenters

Almost 20 years after The Devil Wears Prada came out, the SAG Awards 2024 will be reuniting Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt onstage as the trio will come up together to present an award, per a press release. How fun! Another exciting presenter is Jennifer Aniston, who is presenting Streisand with the 59th SAG Life Achievement Award. Check out all the presenters below:

Just like the awards shows that aired before it, Barbie and Oppenheimer are leading for the most nominations in film at the SAG Awards 2024. Each of the movies have a total of four nominations. American Fiction follows close behind with three.
