All of the Netflix movies and shows nominated at the 2024 SAG Awards

We're just coming off the heels of the Golden Globe Awards but already it's time to start gearing up for the 2024 SAG Awards, which marks the 30th ceremony overall. This year is a particularly special one for Netflix because the SAG Awards will be live-streamed on the streaming service for the first time on February 24, 2024.

Ahead of the ceremony next month, Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae officially announced all of the nominees on January 10, 2024, revealing all 12 of the nods going to Netflix specifically. There were some expected nominations, for Beef, The Crown, and Maestro, and a few surprises, like a nod for Painkiller. But perhaps most shocking of all is SAG completely snubbing May December.

Beef

Netflix's acclaimed A24 miniseries Beef picked up several SAG nominations, which isn't surprising considering the show pretty much swept the limited series category at the Golden Globes.

Here's what Beef received nominations for:

• Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series
• Ali Wong - Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series
• Steven Yeun - Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series

The Crown

There's no surprise that The Crown managed to drum up a couple of nominations as it has consistently across its entire run. It'll be interesting to see if The Crown's sixth and final season gets any nominations next year since it was far more poorly received than previous seasons.

Additionally, apart from the above shows, Netflix also received one big acting nom each for Painkiller and The Diplomat.

May December snubbed in favor of Maestro, Nyad, and Rustin

Perhaps the biggest shock of the 2024 SAG Award nominations is the complete and total snubbing of Netflix's May December, a film that has generated significant buzz since its debut, particularly for star Charles Melton. Apparently, SAG didn't see what other voters saw and neglected to nominate the film at all, but they did include Netflix's Nyad, Maestro, and Rustin.

All of the titles listed above are currently streaming on Netflix. The 30th Annual SAG Awards will stream exclusively on Netflix on February 24, 2024.
