Trailer

Ahead of the release of season 4 part 1, Netflix revealed the full length trailer, which gave a tease at what shenanigans Emily will get herself into this time. As the trailer suggests, she's still battling split feelings for both Alfie and Gabriel in the aftermath of the wedding mess, but there's a lot on her mind regarding both men. She also seems to be exploring the possibility of being on her own, but we know that when it comes to Emily, she follows her heart wherever it takes her.

Watch the trailer in the video below!

In addition to the trailer, Netflix releases a nearly 10-minute recap video featuring introduction and commentary from series stars Lily Collins and Ashley Park. It's been almost two years since the previous season dropped, after all! Need to brush up on all things Emily in Paris but don't have time to rewatch the whole series or even just season 3? Take a few minutes to watch the show's leading ladies recap the previous storylines and how they lead into season 4.

What to expect from season 4 part 1

When we last left our girl in the Emily in Paris season 3 finale, her long-simmering love triangle (if you can even call it that) reached its inevitable boiling point. Camille leaves Gabriel at the altar because she knows he has feelings for Emily, and Alfie does the same exact thing. The scene makes for quite the memorable occasion, but it's nothing compared to the final shocker: Camille's pregnant with Gabriel's baby! Maybe he and Emily aren't as in the clear for a relationship as we thought.

As previewed by the trailer and the synopsis, everyone's still feeling the aftershocks of the unexpectedly dramatic non-wedding. Emily has feelings for Alfie and Gabriel, leaving her in a state of confusion. They both mean a lot to her in different ways, but she's unintentionally hurt Alfie and now Gabriel comes with some baggage. What's Emily to do?! Well, there's two more secrets on the way to shake up Emily's world, so she'd better hold on for dear life!

Here's the season 4 part 1 synopsis as provided by Netflix:

"After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of."

We're so close to finding out what's next for Emily in Emily in Paris season 4 part 1, including who she ends up with in the first half of perhaps the show's most anticipated season yet. Stay tuned to Netflix Life for upcoming recaps and more coverage on season 4!
