Emily in Paris season 4 first look photos hint at Christmas and friendly exes
By Reed Gaudens
Every day, we're a little bit closer to the two-part release of Emily in Paris season 4 on Netflix. The first half of the season kicks off this summer on Aug. 15, while the second half of the summer ushers in the fall season on Sept. 13. It's been a long wait, but from the looks of the batch of first look photos released by Netflix, the season will be more than worth the wait.
On Wednesday, June 5, Netflix dropped the first official look at the upcoming new season with a preview of some of Emily's latest outfits. In a few, she's in a snowy locale wearing cozy coats and hats, while there's another outfit that's reminiscent of Enola Holmes meets Bridgerton by way of Gossip Girl that's definitely connecting Lily Collins to her British roots.
But perhaps the most exciting part of the new photos has to be the tease that we'll be celebrating Christmas with Emily for the first time. In a few of the photos, Emily appears to be at some sort of wintry vacation spot and eagle eyes will spot snow and subtle holiday decor in the background. A pair of pillows behind Emily in one of the photos has the Switzerland flag. Is she on a Swiss getaway before her Roman holiday?
Another aspect of the photos that will especially have fans waiting even more impatiently for the season 4 release in August and September is the inclusion of two photos with Gabriel and Alfie. In both photos, Emily sits beside the two main men in her love triangle. She rests her arm on Gabriel's shoulder and looks at him lovingly, while in the photo with Alfie, they're sitting next to each other and looking at something in the distance. But they don't appear to be on bad terms!
However, as for how Emily stands with Camille, one of the new photos previews that the two will come face to face in season 4... and Camille doesn't look too happy about it. Also of note, Camille doesn't appear to have a baby bump on display, but maybe her outfit is simply hiding it or the scene takes place not long after the season 3 finale. Still, it's food for thought.
Until Netflix releases an official teaser or trailer, we won't know the real context behind each of these new photos, but it's fun to speculate what could happen to our favorite characters. Are Emily and Alfie actually on good terms or are they forced to work together? Is there still bad blood between Emily and Camille, and what's the status of Emily and Gabriel's relationship? There are so many burning questions yet to be answered in Emily in Paris season 4 in August and September!
