We're coming up on a week since Bridgerton season 3 part 1 dropped on Netflix. How is everyone doing? Are you just as eager as we are to see part 2? We're already going through withdrawals and have been trying to keep ourselves busy. Luckily, all the new cast interviews have been keeping us entertained in the meantime.

In a recent interview with Bridgerton star Claudia Jessie, who plays Eloise Bridgerton in the period drama, the actress shared her thoughts on some fan theories about her character. Some fans have theorized that Eloise will eventually be involved in a queer storyline. While fans came up with this theory before the season 3 premiere, more fans have joined them after seeing Eloise's newfound friendship with Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) in the third season.

To many fans, Eloise and Cressida's close friendship this season seems to be blossoming into something more. After watching the first four episodes, I could sense romantic chemistry between the characters myself. However, we still have four episodes left of the season to see if their friendship goes any further.

Since the very beginning of the period drama, many fans have been pushing for a queer storyline/romance. It all started with the Benedict (Luke Thompson) character in season 1. There's a scene in the first season where Benedict has some sort of a flirtatious encounter with another artist. While nothing romantic ends up happening between these characters, fans are still holding hope that Benedict or another character eventually gets into a queer relationship.

Well, it looks like fans' prayers have been answered because a queer storyline will be happening this season and continue on into future seasons. Bridgerton season 3 showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed this in a recent interview with PRIDE. It's just unclear which character(s) will be involved.

At the New York City premiere for Bridgerton season 3, Claudia spoke with The Wrap and was asked about her character's romantic journey. Here's what she said about a potential queer storyline involving her character.

"I think what’s good about Eloise is that there is loads of room for her to play. You can experiment more with Eloise. I don't think Shondaland would ever ignore romance or anything, but there is room for Eloise to go on a bit of a different journey. The good thing about the books is we have this beautiful foundation, but Shondaland has always kept it fresh by adding in new things here and there."

While Claudia doesn't come right out and say that the queer storyline will be about her character, she basically lets fans know that anything is possible in Bridgerton. This is true. There have been significant changes in the show from the books, so Eloise ending up in a queer relationship rather than a heterosexual relationship could definitely happen. We'll just have to wait and see, though.

Claudia also told The Wrap that she "loves" hearing about the different fan theories, saying that it makes her "happy that people are talking about it." Well, we love Eloise Bridgerton and we can't wait to see her love story finally be shown on screen!
