Claudia Jessie will 'shatter into a thousand pieces' when Bridgerton ends
How are you feeling now that Bridgerton season 3 has finally premiered? I'm sure you're feeling an array of emotions like us at Netflix Life, but the emotion that keeps coming back for us is anticipation. After binge-watching the first four episodes, we're more than ready to see the final four episodes of the season. Sadly, we have quite a while before they drop on Netflix. Episodes 5-8 are slated to be released on June 13. So, we've got to keep ourselves busy in the meantime.
What we've been doing to pass the time is watching the different cast interviews for entertainment purposes as well as for juicy deets about the third season, the upcoming Bridgerton season 4, and the future of the series as a whole. While the cast hasn't been that forthcoming about the fourth season, several cast members have shared their feelings about the hit period drama's eventual conclusion. As of May 17, Bridgerton has only been renewed through to a fourth season. The future of the series past season 4 is unknown at the moment.
One of the cast members who have recently shared their thoughts on the show eventually coming to an end is Claudia Jessie, who plays Eloise Bridgerton in the period drama. At the New York City premiere for Bridgerton season 3 on May 13, Claudia spoke with Extra TV and said that she's going "shatter into a thousand pieces" when the show comes to an end. She goes on to talk about how grateful she is to have been part of the show and says that she will be "heartbroken" when it ends.
I think many fans could agree with Claudia on this. I know I do. From the very beginning, Bridgerton has been one of my comfort shows that I look forward to watching. I'd even say it's one of the best period dramas I've ever watched. I couldn't imagine not seeing a new season drop in my Netflix account anymore. I would be absolutely devastated! Luckily, executive producer Shonda Rhimes is still committed to adapting all eight Bridgerton books. We just need Netflix to get on board and give the green light for more seasons.
The streamer is most likely waiting to see how the third season is received by the audience before coming to a decision. We still have four episodes left from season 3 that need to be released. But if the total viewership number for the third season as a whole ends up being high enough to Netflix's standards, the streamer will likely give the go ahead for an additional season. Who knows? Maybe Netflix would hand out a double renewal. That's what it did last time. Fingers crossed!
