Claudia Jessie doesn't know if Bridgerton season 4 will tell Eloise's story

Bridgerton season 4 is already in the works, but no one will admit what or who the next season will be about.
There are many rumors that the fourth season will finally tell Eloise's love story. That all happens in Julia Quinn's To Sir Philip, With Love, which is the fifth book of the Bridgerton series. What about the other brother, Benedict, played by Luke Thompson? We might be skipping him again!
At the Bridgerton season 3 premiere, ahead of the part 1 drop on Netflix on May 16, ExtraTV told Claudia Jessie, who plays Eloise Bridgerton in the Netflix series, that people are saying Eloise will be the focus of season 4.
"Oh, really?" Jessie said. "I'd love to know. I don't know. I don't know."
Hmmm. Do we believe it? It's hard to imagine that the season has been in the works since Netflix announced the renewal in April 2021 and no one knows what the new season will be about.
When asked about the fan's support for Eloise's love story to be told in season 4, Jessie said that she appreciated the support and explained how devastated she'll be when the show comes to an end.
"I am going to shatter into a thousand pieces when this job ends one day," Jessie said. "And my family and loved ones will have to put me back together again. So, I am so happy to be here and have this job. I will be heartbroken when it ends."
Again, Jessie wasn't biting on spilling any details at all about season 4. I wonder how this interview or these questions would have been answered after the season premiered. Unfortunately, because Netflix is splitting the season into two parts, fans will be waiting until June 13 to find out how the season ends and how season 4 will be set up.
If there's one person who is actually in the loop on season 4, it's Shonda Rhimes, the executive producer of Bridgerton. We know Rhimes has a plan. She literally just told Variety that in a profile that ran on May 12, 2024.
"I do have a very specific plan of where we go each season — which one is which. Because you really have to start seeding in the other siblings, and what’s going on with them, to push them to the next season. We’ve really talked about it through, I think, Season 6 or maybe 7."
In addition to Rhimes, showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed recently that they know who the lead of season 4 will be, but they aren't going to say yet.
So, they know whose love story will be told in season 4. And, it's clear heading into season 3 that Benedict or Eloise will get that story. We don't know what happens in season 3, but the groundwork has been laid for their stories to be told.
In the Variety interview, Rhimes also mentioned the plan for eight seasons of Bridgerton is still in the works. That means we're going to see Eloise and Benedict find love eventually. If it's not season 4 for Eloise, it's going to be season 5. I guess it also comes down to how the season is set up with the events of season 3, as well.
We'll share more news about the future of Bridgerton when we find out! Remember to watch season 3 part 1 on Thursday, May 16, and part 2 on June 13!
