We've officially started a new month, and Netflix has already released many horror movies on its platform. In fact, several more horror films are set to be released on the streamer throughout the rest of August. Below, we shared some of the best horror flicks you can watch on Netflix this month.
Tarot (2024)
This supernatural horror film follows a group of college friends who, after playing with a cursed deck of tarot cards, begin to meet their demises in ways related to their fortunes told in the cards. Cult of Chucky (2017)
Continuing the story of the killer doll, Cult of Chucky follows Chucky as he invades a mental institution to terrorize his human victim from the previous film, Nica Pierce. Meanwhile, an old nemesis of Chucky's works to put a stop to him once and for all. The cast includes Fiona Dourif, Michael Therriault, Adam Hurtig, Alex Vincent, Jennifer Tilly, and Brad Dourif. Monster House (2006)
After a group of pre-teens discover that a creepy, old house in their suburban neighborhood is possessed by an evil spirit, they come up with a plan to destroy it and free the spirit trapped inside. This animated horror-comedy film is already streaming on Netflix.
World War Z (2013)
World War Z is a zombie apocalypse film starring Brad Pitt as a former United Nations investigator recruited by the U.N. to find a solution to a rapidly spreading zombie outbreak that threatens humanity. This movie is already available to stream on Netflix.

Pearl (2022)

Pearl serves as a prequel to Ti West's X and explores the backstory of the title villain. In 1918, a young, aspiring actress named Pearl, lives with her controlling mother and ailing father on a secluded farm in Texas. Pearl dreams of one day leaving the farm to chase her dreams of being a movie star, but her overbearing mother prevents her from doing so. This leads her to become increasingly unhinged, ultimately resulting in her committing violent acts against those she sees as a threat.
The Deliverance (2024)

After struggling single mother, Ebony Jackson, moves with her family into a new home, she soon finds herself and her kids on a fight for survival against an evil entity haunting the house. The amazingly talented cast is made up of Andra Day, Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, Anthony B. Jenkins, Miss Lawrence, Demi Singleton, Tasha Smith, Omar Epps, Caleb McLaughlin, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.
