Sometimes, there's just nothing better than having a good laugh. Whether it's spending time with loved ones and enjoying the LOLs or rewatching your favorite sitcom for the millionth time, you can't forget to exercise your funny bone every now and then. Thankfully, Netflix has quite the selection of funny shows to watch, with even more coming in February 2024.
In February, Netflix will bring back Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the police procedural sitcom starring Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher. Unfortunately, it's not the complete series (yet), but it's the show that everyone should and needs to revisit in February. Also, all eight seasons of Monk hit Netflix for streaming and the sixth season of Young Sheldon drops ahead of the final season's bow on CBS.
Wondering what other funny shows you should check out on Netflix in February 2024? We're sharing five of the wittiest comedies you could possibly add to your watch list, beginning below with the beloved fan-favorite Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
If there's one comedy series that you should set aside time to prioritize for a rewatch, it's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. And if you have never given the show a shot, now's the time. The first four seasons of the series, a whopping 90 episodes of hilarious antics, arrive on Feb. 26. While there's no word as of this writing when or if the second half of the series will stream on Netflix, that's no reason not to watch. It's the perfect lighthearted binge-watch to take the edge off. Brooklyn Nine-Nine fits right in with the wittiest comedies of its time, like New Girl, 30 Rock, and The Mindy Project. Even though it only ended a couple years ago, this is one sitcom deeply deserving of a resurgence.
- Seasons: 8 total, 4 available on Feb. 26
- Starring: Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Andre Braugher, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller

Seinfeld
Maybe Brooklyn Nine-Nine isn't quite your speed and you're looking for a throwback sitcom that throws it a little further back than the 2010s. In case you've forgotten, Netflix remains the streaming home to perhaps one of the most famous sitcoms of all time: Seinfeld. It's wild that it's not more popular on Netflix, considering Friends and The Office continue to pull huge numbers for Max and Peacock respectively. Nevertheless, here's your reminder that the most influential sitcom of the '90s can be watched on Netflix. If you're a Seinfeld fan, kick start your next rewatch, and if you have never actually watched the show, it's time to learn the meanings behind all of those ubiquitous references.
- Seasons: 9
- Starring: Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, Jason Alexander
- Watch on Netflix: Seinfeld
Monk
While the rest of the shows included on this last are the traditional half-hour comedy, we'd be remiss not to mention the upcoming release of the complete series of the USA Network's Monk. All eight seasons of the comedy-drama police procedural drop on Feb. 5. That's 125 episodes of feel-good television ready to binge-watch! Netflix acquiring Monk is no surprise give the success of its network-mate Suits last year on Netflix. The streamer has also picked up Royal Pains and White Collar, the latter of which will arrive this spring. Everyone has been craving longer series, and here's the perfect pick. Get into the blue sky spirit by diving into the nostalgic mystery series!
- Seasons: 8
- Starring: Tony Shalhoub, Bitty Schram, Jason Gray-Stanford, Ted Levine, Traylor Howard

Great News
Every so often, Great News has a moment where people remember that it exists, and that's so wonderful. It's a show that was canceled far too soon and needs to be remembered — and streamed! Both seasons of the dreadfully underrated comedy are currently available to stream on Netflix. However, they're not likely to be available on the streamer forever, so run, don't walk, to watch! The series comes from Tina Fey and has the rapid joke-pacing and wild sense of humor to show for it. Seriously, it's the best time to either revisit or discover the news show workplace comedy!
- Seasons: 2
- Starring: Briga Heelan, Andrea Martin, Adam Campbell, Nicole Richie, Horatio Sanz, John Michael Higgins
- Watch on Netflix: Great News
Young Sheldon
Since Young Sheldon made its Netflix debut last year, the successful CBS sitcom and spinoff of The Big Bang Theory has not left the top 10. Its popularity and ratings have transcended the small screen in a big way. The seventh and final season of the series is gearing up to premiere on CBS in February, but the most recent sixth season will be finally touching down on Netflix at the top of February. Being so, we should all expect Sheldon to continue to hold down the fort in the top 10. If you haven't yet, give the witty comedy a try a try this month before the series comes to an end.
- Seasons: 7 total, 6 available on Feb. 1
- Starring: Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, Jim Parsons, Annie Potts, Matt Hobby, Wyatt McClure, Emily Osment
