When Netflix announced the release date for That '90s Show season 2 earlier this year, the streamer revealed that the 16-episode follow-up had been split in half. That '90s Show part 2 made its premiere in June, while That '90s Show part 3 was reserved for a drop this fall in later October. Well, here's some good news: You no longer have to wait that long for new episodes!

On July 30, Netflix shared the great news that the That '90s Show part 3 release date moved up to Thursday, Aug. 22 from its previous drop date of Oct. 24. All eight of the part 3 episodes will now release in August and complete Leia Forman's second round of summer misadventures in Point Place, Wisconsin. It's only fitting that the season finishes up before summer ends.

To help spread the news and make the announcement, the That '90s Show cast had a bit of fun recording a "pass the phone" style video to reveal the new August date. Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp, Callie Haverda, Laura Prepon, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Reyn Doi, Sam Morelos, and Maxwell Acee Donovan all appear in the video — as do guest stars Seth Green, Will Forte, and Kevin Smith.

Netflix didn't share a synopsis for part 3, but based on the major cliffhanger at the end of part 2, there's going to be a world of hurt in store for Leia and her friends when Red and Kitty return home. Not only did they throw a party at the Forman house, but Leo's son and his friend (Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes) drive a car through the kitchen! Red's going to go bananas.

If you're hoping to see more cameos from That '70s Show stars, it's already been confirmed that there won't be any surprises in store for part 3. However, we're going to see a bit more of Donna around in Point Place. Prepon will be reprising her role from the original series, and she also worked on the show behind the scenes as the sole director of all eight part 3 episodes.

And while Leia and Jay got their relationship back on track following that minor roadblock, the showrunner also teased that Leia's love triangle could come back around in future episodes. Nate and Nikki also seemed to be on the road to reconciliation post-breakup, but we'll have to see what's in store for both couples when part 3 returns with new plot twists on Aug. 22.
