We've made it to the finish line for January, and what a month it's been for Netflix. But you know what we're looking forward to? All the new releases in February. More specifically, all the exciting new Netflix shows.

Obviously, at the top of our list is the highly anticipated live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender. That's easily the new Netflix show that everyone's most looking forward to. But there are also several others coming out in February that you should be on the lookout for.

Below, we shared a list of five new Netflix shows scheduled to be released in February that we recommend checking out.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Release date: Feb. 22, 2024

It's been a long time coming, but on Feb. 22, people will finally get to see the live-action reimagining of the hit Nickelodeon animated series of the same name. Developed by Albert Kim, Avatar: The Last Airbender centers around a 12-year-old Airbender named Aang who is also the current Avatar and the last survivor of his nation.

After being frozen in an iceberg for a hundred years, Aang is finally awakened by two siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Katara and Sokka. With the Fire Nation hell-bent on taking over the world, Aang must learn to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore peace and balance to the world and put an end to the war. But it won't be easy with Crown Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation determined to capture them.

Gordon Cormier, Dallas Liu, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Elizabeth Yu, Daniel Dae Kim, and many others are in the cast.

One Day

Release date: Feb. 8, 2024

One Day is a romantic drama series that is slated to be released on Netflix just in time for Valentine's Day. It's based on David Nicholls’ bestselling novel of the same name and tells a decades-spanning love story starting in 1988. In July 1988, Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew speak for the first time on the night of their college graduation. The next morning, they part ways but their lives remain intertwined as they reunite on the same day every year to share life updates. As the years go by, we watch as they grow and change and move together and apart.

Ambika Mod stars as Emma while Leo Woodall plays the role of Dex. In addition, Essie Davis, Tim McInnerny, Amber Grappy, Jonny Weldon, Eleanor Tomlinson, Joely Richardson, and Toby Stephens portray characters in the 14 episode series.

A Killer Paradox

Release date: Feb. 9, 2024

I love a good Korean rom-com, but sometimes I want to watch something a little more on the serious side. A Killer Paradox is an upcoming Korean crime series that should be added to your watchlist if you're looking for something to watch that's suspenseful and that'll have you constantly thinking.

It's based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Kkomabi, and follows an ordinary college student who after accidentally killing a serial killer, finds himself entangled in an endless cat-and-mouse chase with a detective determined to take him down. Choi Woo-shik portrays Lee Tang, the college student, and Son Suk-ku as Jang Nan-gam, the skilled detective. Lee Hee-joon, Kim Yo-han, Hyun Bong-sik, and Nam Jin-bok are other actors playing characters in the series.

The Vince Staples Show

Release date: Feb. 15, 2024

Well-known rapper and singer Vince Staples has his own television show coming to Netflix this February. It's a limited series called The Vince Staples Show, and it's loosely based on the rapper's life. Throughout five episodes, viewers watch as Staples navigates the challenges of everyday life while living in his hometown of Long Beach, California. Besides Staples, the cast is made up of Vanessa Bell Calloway, Andrea Ellsworth, Naté Jones, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg, and Myles Bullock.

The Tourist

Release date: Season 1 - Feb. 1, 2024 & Season 2 - Feb. 29, 2024

One of Netflix's recent pickups is the drama series The Tourist starring Jamie Dornan. Originally a Max original series for its first season, the upcoming second season will be released on Netflix. No worries, though. The first season will be released on the streaming platform in early February before the second season drops later that month.

Here's the show's plot via IMDb:

"When a man wakes up in the Australian outback with no memory, he must use the few clues he has to discover his identity before his past catches up with him."

Joining Dornan in the cast are actors such as Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Genevieve Lemon, Alex Dimitriades, and Damon Herriman.
