Arcane ending with season 2 on Netflix in November 2024
Brace yourselves, Arcane fans -- we have some news that’s both exciting and bittersweet about the beloved Netflix animation. Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and featuring the voices of Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell as the iconic sisters Vi and Jinx from the League of Legends video games, Arcane is set to conclude after its highly anticipated second season this November.
Yes, you read that right! The highly addictive series will be wrapping up following the release of season 2 -- a moment of silence for all of us who need to mourn this loss...
But don’t despair just yet! According to Variety, while the curtains are closing on Netflix's Arcane, co-creator Christian Linke has hinted at more exciting adventures to come in the League of Legends universe.
"Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche. From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra."

For those who aren’t too familiar with Arcane, the series follows siblings Vi and Jinx, who are torn apart and become rivals as their steampunk city, Piltover, clashes with its seedy, criminal underground, Zaun. Season 1 ended with Jinx launching a devastating attack on the Piltover council, setting the stage for a dire escalation of conflict in season 2.

Kevin Alejandro, who voices Jayce, has hinted that the upcoming season will be emotionally intense, promising to keep viewers "on the edge of their seats." He told Buzzfeed:
"You're going to be conflicted in such a way that I don't know if it's good or bad. Like, your emotions will be pulled out of you and you'll be like, 'Oh my god!' That's how you're going to end [season two]. It's so good!"

How many Arcane spinoffs have been announced?
While we may be sad to say goodbye to Vi and Jinx as Arcane concludes with season 2 on Netflix, the thought of diving into new stories within the League of Legends universe fills us with excitement.
Details are still scarce, but according to Geek Tyrant, Netflix has confirmed that the spinoffs mentioned by co-creator Christian Linke are currently in the early stages of development. These new projects will expand the universe beyond Arcane, although it’s unclear just how many spinoffs are planned at this time. Linke shared:
"We're still really early in the stages of that process, and these things do take a lot of time, but we'd like to share updates with you whenever we can."
