Adam Sandler has officially made Netflix his home at this point. He is set to return with a new comedy special on the streaming platform. Netflix just recently announced this good news, and we couldn't be more excited. Unfortunately, not much is known about the special yet, but we shared what we know so far below.

Adam Sandler is hands down one of the funniest actors in the entertainment industry. It could be because he has a background in comedy. All I know is that anything he puts out is always entertaining to watch. Through his ongoing creative partnership with Netflix, he will release this upcoming comedy special. Sadly, it doesn't have an official title yet, but I'm sure it'll end up being something unique.

Sandler will be collaborating with filmmaker Josh Safdie on this stand-up special. Safdie is signed on to direct. This isn't their first time collaborating either. They previously worked together on the crime thriller Uncut Gems, in which Sandler starred and Safdie co-wrote and co-directed with his brother. Sandler also starred in the Safdie brothers' 2020 short film Goldman v Silverman. Filming hasn't yet started on the special, but the cameras should be rolling soon now that it has been announced.

This will be Sandler's second Netflix comedy special, with the 2018 Emmy-nominated special 100% Fresh being his first. Some of his other projects through his deal with Netflix that have already come out include the movies You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, Hustle, Murder Mystery, Murder Mystery 2, Hubie Halloween, Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, The Do-Over and The Ridiculous 6. He most recently voiced the role of a 74-year-old lizard in the Netflix kid-animated film Leo.

Besides this comedy special, Sandler is working on an upcoming Netflix movie which Noah Baumbach is signed on to write and direct.

That's all we know for now. We'll get back to you with more information once it's released. So, stay tuned to Netflix Life!
