This just in! 8 popular Netflix shows have been confirmed to be returning in 2024
Today is a good day for us Netflix Lifers! Netflix has just unveiled an extensive slate of movies and shows confirmed to be coming out this year, and I'm pretty sure some of your favorite Netflix shows made the list.
Let's first start off on the movie front. You can expect to see these new movies on the streaming platform in 2024 like the action-comedy flick Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, the action-thriller The Union starring Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg, Back in Action starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, Carry-On, Uglies and many other films.
When it comes to new Netflix shows coming out this year, we're looking at the limited drama series A Man in Full, the spy series Black Doves, Ryan Murphy's anthology Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, etc.
But what about all the returning Netflix shows for 2024? Well, follow along to see if any of your favorites will be dropping new seasons this year.
Outer Banks season 4
One of the Netflix shows we were hoping would make the list was Outer Banks, and luckily, we weren't disappointed. The upcoming fourth season has been confirmed to make its landing sometime in 2024. However, this isn't necessarily surprising because production on the fourth season has been going on for a while now. We're not expecting the post-production process to take that long, so a 2024 release seemed possible. Now, we don't have to worry anymore. Our guess is that we're looking at a late 2024 drop. If so, it'll definitely be one of the top end-of-the-year releases.
Outer Banks season 4 will see the Pogues go on yet another treasure hunt, but this time for Blackbeard's buried treasure.
Emily in Paris season 4
We'll soon see our girl Emily back in Paris trying to balance her complicated love life, friendships, and work-life when Emily in Paris season 4 lands on Netflix this year! Yes, you read that right. We'll finally get to see how everything unfolds after the shocking news Gabriel laid on Emily in the season 3 finale. The cameras are currently rolling on the new season, but the filmmaking process for this show doesn't take as long as other shows. So, our best release prediction for now is a summer release.
Cobra Kai season 6
Have no fear, Cobra Kai season 6 is near! The sixth and final season of the popular comedy-drama series is set to be released on Netflix sometime this year. This will be the last time we see Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and all the other amazing cast members get into their fighting positions and show us their martial arts skills. It's going to be a sad day when Cobra Kai season 6 is released, but we're looking forward to seeing how the show wraps up everyone's stories.
That '90s Show season 2
That '90s Show might not be one of the best teen shows on Netflix, but it's still pretty popular. After recently finding out that production started on the second season, we just found out some more good news, and it's that the second season will be released this summer. This is another show whose filmmaking process doesn't take that long, so we had an inkling that it would be released in the spring or summertime of this year.
Although plot details for That '90s Show season 2 are being kept under wraps at the moment, we could most likely expect the show to pick back up where it left off. Leia will return to Point Place for the summer once again, but how will things turn out for her now that she's in a complicated love triangle with Jay and Nate?
Squid Game season 2
After a painfully long wait, Squid Game will finally be making its return with its second season in 2024. Although an official release date hasn't been announced yet, our guess is that we're looking at a fall release. No worries! We'll get back to you with the release date once it's announced. It's unclear what Squid Game season 2 will be about, but based on how things ended in the first season, we'll probably see Gi-hun trying to find a way to stop the deadly games. What we do know is that the second season will surely be the talk of the town once it's released.
Selling Sunset season 8
One of the best reality series on Netflix will be making its return with its eighth season this year. Of course, we're talking about Selling Sunset. We'll soon get to see some of our favorite real estate agents back on our screens selling luxurious homes while also dabbling in some drama. Everyone wants to know if Bre Tiesi has left the Oppenheim Group. I'm sure we'll find out in the upcoming Selling Sunset season 8!
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3
Love is Blind might be the best romance reality TV show on Netflix, but The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On easily comes in at second place. Netflix has set the third season for a 2024 release. Once again, we'll watch a bunch of couples put their love to the test. Season 2 was filled with drama, so we can only imagine how the third season will turn out. It's unclear who will host this season, but our guess is that it'll probably be Nick and Vanessa Lachey. They love their Netflix reality shows!
Heartstopper season 3
The heartfelt teen show, Heartstopper, has been confirmed to be coming back with its third season in 2024. But this is another show that we weren't surprised would be returning this year. With production on the third season wrapping up in December 2023, it was pretty much a given that it would be coming out sometime in 2024. In fact, it looks like we may be looking at a spring or summer release. Anything past that just wouldn't make any sense. Charlie and Nick's love story isn't over, and we can't wait to see how it continues!
Which returning Netflix shows are you most looking forward to seeing?
