While the movie is available on Netflix in some regions, others will have to wait for it to arrive.

Paddington in Peru hasn't been out for long, but it may already be available to stream in some regions. For instance, in the United States, it is already available on Amazon Prime.

That’s where it can get awkward, as some regions get the film on the streaming platform at different times. It’s been in UK cinemas since November last year and hit US movie screens in February. That staggered date approach also applies to when it is released on Netflix.

The UK version of Netflix has already seen the film released, making it available on April 8. In the US, there isn't a firm Netflix release date yet, but it seems likely to be released soon, within the coming weeks.

The deal between Sony and Netflix for movies tends to see them arrive on the platform a few months after their cinema release. Some pundits have calculated that a 120-day gap is typical, and that would point to mid-May for a US release.

Paddington In Peru on Netflix - Is it worth the wait?

Not long now, then. But is it worth the wait? The formula has been well proven in the previous two movies. There is a strong cast in this third edition, as some favorites return, while others are missing.

Ben Whishaw continues as the voice of Paddington, while Hugh Bonneville returns as Mr. Brown, now joined by Emily Mortimer as his wife, rather than Sally Hawkins. Julie Walters is back playing Mrs. Bird in perfect style.

Look out too for Olivia Colman as a reverend mother and Antonio Banderas as a riverboat captain. Sadly, the storyline doesn’t feature Mr Curry, so no Peter Capaldi. Jim Broadbent at least has a very brief appearance as Mr Gruber.

Let’s not get too embroiled in the plot detail; suffice to say that Paddington is visiting his Aunt Lucy. She has disappeared, and as they all set out to find her, a jungle adventure begins with the usual chaos, perils, and high jinks. It’s a good, fun romp, with plenty of thrills and humor.

Paddington In Peru will probably be the best family comedy film you’ll see this year. It’s to a high standard and ticks all the boxes. It’s a bit below the peak set by the second film, but that was always going to be a hard act to follow.

This edition is far better than many sequels, even if it feels a bit less than its predecessor. Very much still worth the wait for it to arrive though.
