Something really huge is happening soon that will take your Netflix experience to an entirely new level. One of the streaming giant’s biggest, most beloved shows is leaving the comfort of your living room and heading to theaters for a limited-time premiere event!

Premiering its first season in August 2023, this fan-favorite series took Netflix by storm. However, no one should've really been surprised. The show is based on one of the most iconic and long-running manga series of all time. If you've guessed One Piece, you'd be absolutely right! The popular live-action Netflix series will return with its highly anticipated second season in March, and now fans will have two ways to watch it.

Originally, One Piece season 2 was only going to be released on Netflix. While that's true to an extent, there's now an exciting twist for the global fanbase. The streaming giant has announced that the first two episodes of the second season will also be shown in theaters for a special premiere event. This unique theatrical experience gives fans the chance to step into the world of Netflix's One Piece like never before.

In fact, this is only the second time a Netflix series has hit theaters. The first time was when the Stranger Things series finale was released in theaters on Dec. 31, 2025. So, yeah, this is pretty big!

For those who want to see One Piece season 2 on the big screen, we're about share all that you need to know about its theatrical release. First, we'll start with the dates and locations. The special theatrical screenings will take place on March 10, 2026, the same day the second season officially premieres on Netflix.

Fans in the United States, Canada, and Japan can attend, with more than 200 theaters participating. In the US and Canada, showings are scheduled for 6 p.m. local time, giving fans a prime evening slot to dive into the Grand Line alongside fellow enthusiasts.

Second, there's ticket information. Tickets go on sale for US and Canadian fans on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8:00 a.m. PT/11:00 a.m. ET. Netflix has even set up a website where fans can find the full list of participating theaters, view showtimes in their area, and download tickets. Participating theaters in the U.S. include major chains like AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Alamo, and Cineplex, along with additional venues in Canada and Japan.

With One Piece being such a popular show, tickets are expected to sell out quickly. That said, fans are encouraged to secure their seats as soon as they go on sale. You don't want to miss out on this rare opportunity to experience a Netflix series in theaters!
