One of AMC's most underrated shows is receiving a new season on Netflix

There’s a special kind of excitement that ripples through the streaming world every time Netflix announces that it’s adding more licensed content to its platform. Mayfair Witches season 2 is coming to Netflix in December 2025

The first season of Mayfair Witches has been available to stream on Netflix since August 2024. That said, most subscribers have already caught up on the dark, twisted secrets of the Mayfair family and are ready to dive into the next batch of episodes. At first, we had no idea whether Netflix would ever get the new season. We knew there was a possibility, but nothing was confirmed.

But then in September 2025, news broke that Netflix and AMC had extended their deal. This new deal would not only bring Mayfair Witches season 2 to the streaming platform but also new seasons of other AMC series. However, a release date was not revealed at the time. Remember how we said Mayfair Witches season 2 is coming in December? Well, the good news is that we won't have to wait until later in the month for it to be released on Netflix. The streaming giant has set its release date for Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025. This means you can expect all eight episodes of the second season to land on this date. However, it's unknown what time the new installment will drop. Maybe it will be released at Netflix's usual release time of 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET, but this is just speculation.

Mayfair Witches is a supernatural horror series created by Michelle Ashford and Esta Spalding. Based on Anne Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches novel trilogy, the show stars Alexandra Daddario as a talented neurosurgeon named Rowan Fielding, who discovers she comes from a powerful and secretive family of witches in New Orleans. While uncovering her family’s dark history and trying to control her newfound abilities, she finds herself also having to confront a mysterious and malevolent spirit that's been haunting her family for ages.

Besides Daddario, the season 2 main cast is made up of Tongayi Chirisa, Jack Huston, Harry Hamlin, Ben Feldman, and Alyssa Jirrels.

AMC has already confirmed a third season, and it's currently in the works. However, it's unknown when it will start airing on the network and if it'll ever make its way to Netflix.
