Warning: This post contains spoilers from Nobody Wants This season 3 from this point forward.
Nobody Wants This season 3 has arrived with the latest chapter of Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah's (Adam Brody) love story, and it's a big one. The couple, who have been fighting the odds since they got together, have forged ahead with their biggest development yet: moving in together. But that might not be the biggest development the third season has in store for them.
Throughout season 3, Joanne and Noah grapple with the intricacies of merging their lives, especially as Noah's family has new expectations and pressures for them and Joanne officially pursues converting to Judaism. However, the couple makes two unexpected decisions about their relationship, one that comes at the end of season and shines a light on their future.
Beyond Joanne and Noah, Nobody Wants This season 3 also explores the fresh starts of the new single Morgan (Justine Lupe), Sasha (Timothy Simons), and Esther (Jackie Tohn). Is this the season that Morgan and Sasha's sparks fly, or do he and Esther get back together? We're breaking down the twists and turns of the third season and what they mean for the not-yet-renewed season 4!

Joanne and Noah get engaged (and married!) in season 3
Surprise! Nobody Wants This season 3 delivered the ultimate shocker in episode 4 when Noah whisks Joanne away to Napa for the wedding of his friend Brian. Their travel journey nearly gets upended when Joanne helps a fan named Nicole (played by creator Erin Foster) through a relationship problem, but despite all of the near disasters, they finally make it to Napa for the wedding.
But there is no wedding and no Brian. Noah surprises Joanne with a fake wedding ceremony as an excuse to drop to one knee and ask her to marry him. Even though the lead up to the proposal wasn't as smooth as Noah had planned, it was perfectly them. He also surprised Joanne with Morgan and Sasha being there to celebrate, as they both join them outside after the big moment.
Following their engagement, Joanne and Noah's wedding planning becomes characteristically chaotic thanks to the differing opinion of his mother. While they hoped for a small wedding, they eventually agree to a bigger wedding hosted at Noah's family home. Unfortunately, the big day doesn't happen in season 3, but the couple still manages to tie the knot.
In the season 3 finale, Joanne celebrates her conversion ceremony at the beach. Rabbi Eden (Sarah Silverman) walks her through her official conversion in the ocean as her loved ones look on from a balcony in the distance. Noah joins Joanne and Eden on the beach for Joanne's moment of rebirth and proposes to get married right then and there, just the three of them.
They pull over a stranger from down the beach to be their witness and get married without all the bells and whistles that had been constantly complicating the excitement of getting married. Going into season 4, Joanne and Noah will have to grapple with telling their families they're already married, unless they decide to keep it secret and go through with throwing a big wedding anyway.

Does Sasha end up with Morgan or Esther in Nobody Wants This season 3?
While Joanne and Noah had multiple positive milestones and a happy ending in season 3, their siblings weren't quite as lucky. After the season 2 finale left Morgan single and Sasha heartbroken when Esther revealed she wanted to separate, each one of them exploring what's next. Morgan nearly writes a book, but she then feels dejected when the project falls through.
As Esther moves on with a new career in real estate and begins dating Julian (Steven Weber), Morgan and Sasha continue to grow closer as friends. Sasha joins Morgan on a trip to New York City for her appearance on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen, which leads to them finally acting on their feelings and having sex. But Morgan leaves early without saying goodbye to Sasha.
Morgan pushes Sasha away, and he's mad at her for leaving him. When Morgan finally decides to admit her feelings to Sasha and ask him to pursue something (Joanne even gives her a push, realizing Morgan's in love with him), he turns her down. Sasha and Esther also give into a moment and sleep together again, but that moment is later ruined when Esther learns he also slept with Morgan.
Sasha doesn't end up with Morgan after sleeping with her, and he also doesn't get back together with Esther after sleeping with her. The situation between the three of them has only become a bigger mess that will continue to explode in season 4. Esther also appears to be hurt by Joanne not telling her about Sasha and Morgan, though let's hope she redirects her anger.
Between Joanne and Noah's secret marriage, Sasha's messy love triangle with Esther and Morgan, and the continued tension and fighting between Joanne and Noah's parents are paving the way for an exciting fourth season. But for the first time, Joanne and Noah will really have a new beginning now that they're married and Joanne has converted. The possibilities are endless!
