When is Nobody Wants This season 2 released on Netflix?

Nobody Wants This season 2 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 23 on Netflix. The new season arrives a little over a year after the romantic comedy first made an amazing first impression in September 2024, so there wasn't an extended period of waiting for the new season. Once again, season 2 contains 10 brand-new episodes that are each around 30 minutes in length.

All of the episodes will be released at once at at 3 a.m. ET / midnight PT on Oct. 23. That's a bit late to stay up and watch, but some devoted fans will likely tune in as soon as possible in order to avoid spoilers online. But if you can't start watching immediately on Thursday, Nobody Wants This makes for the perfect binge-watch on Friday night and through the weekend.

What to expect from Nobody Wants This season 2

As previously shared, Joanne and Noah get back together after a brief break-up in the season 1 finale. They return in Nobody Wants This season 2 committed to their relationship and making it work in spite of all the forces working against them. Together, they will have to face the pressures of Noah's intention to move up in his career as a rabbi and Joanne's changing mindset to converting to Judaism in order for them to hopefully get married someday.

Check out the official season 2 synopsis via Netflix:

"First comes love, then comes life. The last time we saw agnostic podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell) and unconventional (hot) rabbi Noah (Adam Brody), their unmatched chemistry surprised everyone in their lives, including her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe), his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) and sister-in-law Esther (Jackie Tohn), and even themselves. Their spark proved stronger than all of the obstacles trying to keep them apart. Now, they’re back and fully committed to merging their lives – and loved ones — together. But their differences still exist and can’t be ignored. The challenge now is not just falling in love against all odds, but staying together in spite of them."

It sounds like Joanne and Noah will continue to find their differences threatening to interfere with their lives and future, but their love for each other is much stronger than buckling to these things that can be fixed in one way or another. With new characters, new circumstances, and new challenges, Joanne and Noah have quite the season ahead of them, but there's a lot of love and laughs in store for season 2.

Is there a trailer for season 3?

Yes, there's a trailer, and it's an exciting glimpse into the new episodes. "Are we doomed?" That's the question Noah asks Joanne in the full season 2 trailer, which Netflix released about one month prior to the season's release date. Their differences about "doing the interfaith thing" seem to still be at top of mind, and they also have talked about the possibility of starting a family, all of which adds up to conflict for the blissfully in love couple.
