When Netflix decides to add a new season of a licensed show to its platform, it’s not just good news. It’s a moment of pure, unfiltered fandom happiness. You've been waiting patiently and rewatching past seasons, just hoping that the day would finally come. And then it does, and you can hardly contain your excitement.

This is how Heartland fans are feeling right now. Oh, you didn't know? The beloved family drama series is about to get a new season on Netflix soon. How soon? We're talking in just a month. The last time Netflix added a new installment of Heartland to its platform was back in September 2025 with the seventeenth season. Now, fans can look forward to Heartland season 18 hitting Netflix this February. Honestly, the excitement is real!

Netflix hasn't made a big announcement about the Heartland season 18 release date, but it has quietly shared it on its app. Are you ready to mark your calendar? If so, drum roll, please! Heartland season 18 is scheduled to be released on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026. That's the date the streaming giant has set.

It's unknown what time the new batch of episodes will drop, but there's a possibility that they could arrive on the platform at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. That's the usual time that Netflix releases new content on its platform. However, keep in mind that this release time has not been confirmed.

Based on the book series of the same name by Lauren Brooke, Heartland is a Canadian television series that centers on the Fleming-Bartlett family as they manage life on their expansive horse ranch in Alberta. At the heart of the story is Amy Fleming, a young woman with a special gift for working with horses, and her older sister Lou, who, along with their grandfather Jack Bartlett, work to keep the ranch afloat following the loss of their mother.

The cast is made up of a bunch of talented actors such as Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Shaun Johnston, Chris Potter, Jessica Steen, Kerry James, Baye McPherson, and many others.

Since Heartland is a licensed show, Netflix doesn't receive the seasons as they air in Canada. It doesn't even get them as soon as they finish airing. It's more complicated than that. The first-run rights for the show are held by UP Faith & Family in the U.S., which means they get to stream the new episodes before Netflix can add them to its platform. That's why there's been a hold-up on the eighteenth season, even though it finished airing in Canada way back in December 2024.

Fortunately, the wait is almost over. Feb. 1 is just around the corner, and that means Heartland season 18 will finally be available on Netflix. In addition, season 19 is also expected to eventually make its way to the streaming platform. But we'll have to get back to you with release information once we have confirmation.
