Netflix just announced a June 2026 return for one of its most popular shows

There are times when you might’ve been waiting a very long time for this news. And then it happens. The date drops, and suddenly your entire world shifts. You start thinking about everything exciting that's coming your way. Fans of one of Netflix's most popular series are currently feeling a rush of excitement as the streamer just confirmed a June 2026 return. That's not all! A first look at the new season was also revealed.

Sweet Magnolias season 5 is coming to Netflix in June 2026

We're not joking around in the slightest. Sweet Magnolias season 5 is really set to be released on Netflix this June. The exact release date is Thursday, June 11, 2026. On Jan. 7, the streaming giant revealed this juicy information in its official 2026 series lineup. A photo from the new installment was also shared. You can check it out below!

Just looking at this picture has us excited about Sweet Magnolias season 5. The last time we saw our favorite trio was in the fourth season, many months ago. That said, we're more than ready to return to Serenity to catch up and "pour it out" with Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue. The fifth season is expected to consist of 10 episodes, just like previous installments.

Based on the bestselling novels by Sheryl J. Anderson, the feel-good romantic drama series is all about these three lifelong friends who lean on each other through every challenge life throws their way. If you recall, Sweet Magnolias season 4 ended with a mix of joy, heartbreak, and major life changes.

But the most shocking part was when Maddie got a big career opportunity in New York City. She receives an offer to work in publishing in the Big Apple. While the season wraps up with Cal and the rest of Maddie's family and friends on board with her new job, viewers were left to wonder how everything will pan out.

Unfortunately, an official synopsis for Sweet Magnolias season 5 has not yet been released. However, Netflix did share that it won't be just Maddie heading to New York. The entire Serenity trio will be taking a girls’ trip to the city that never sleeps in the fifth season. How long they'll be there and what they'll be getting up to remains a mystery, but fans can likely expect plenty of fun moments. I mean, it's New York!

Now that we have an official release date, a trailer is what's next. It'll likely drop closer to the fifth season's release. Perhaps sometime in May 2026.
