Thanks to the steady stream of exciting new Netflix original series released all year, we haven't been without something to keep us on the edge of our seats each weekend. The streamer has been keeping our watch lists stocked with shows that take longer than a weekend to watch, whether it's nostalgic favorites or recents hits. Ironically, Law & Order checks both of those boxes.

Netflix added two seasons of the iconic Dick Wolf procedural drama Law & Order on Monday, April 20. It's worth noting that the streamer acquired the flagship in the franchise so far, with spinoffs not currently earmarked to join them. Law & Order seasons 21 and 22 dropped on Netflix, giving fans 32 episodes of television to dive right into and binge-watch to end April

Obviously, it's not the most convenient that two of the show's most recent seasons have been added to Netflix. When we want to binge-watch a show, most of us like to start from the very first episode rather than skipping 20 seasons (though that's a rare circumstance to find yourself in). But these are two pretty good seasons to begin a binge-watch with because it marked the show's new era.

Law & Order ended after 20 seasons on NBC back in May 2010, but the network later decided to revive the series and pair it with the ongoing and enduring Law & Order: Special Victims Unit once again. Law & Order season 21 premiered in February 2022 with a 10-episode season and kicked off the show's revival with just two carry over characters from past seasons.

The season 21 cast included returnees Anthony Anderson and Sam Waterson, along with Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy, and Odelya Halevi. Law & Order season 22 premiered in September 2022 with a full season and saw the departure of Anderson from the main cast and the addition of Mehcad Brooks. Since these seasons, the cast has changed all over again.

If you're excited about Law & Order seasons 21 and 22 joining Netflix and getting your chance to experience the show's revival seasons, there's even better news to share. Once you finish binge-watching these seasons, Netflix will be adding more on Monday, May 18, 2026. It's unconfirmed which seasons will be added next month, but we can assume they will be more of the latest seasons.

Whether we can expect seasons 23, 24, and 25, which are all of the most recent seasons, to arrive on Netflix isn't known just yet. But we can definitely hope for at least seasons 23 and 24. There's currently no release pattern precedent set for this particular acquired series on Netflix, meaning that it's unclear to know if it's too soon for season 25 to make its way to Netflix.

Make sure to watch Law & Order while it's available on Netflix and set your reminders for the new seasons set to arrive on May 18.
