Netflix drops several intriguing teases on social media about 2025 schedule

Netflix just blew up social media. The streaming giant decided to make January 30 a special day as they announced a bunch of news about shows and movies coming in 2025. And yes, sadly, some will need to wait until 2026 or beyond.

Still, if you have any social media accounts and you follow Netflix, you might have spent your day just scrolling. The streamer announced some news about Squid Game. And teased looks at Happy Gilmore and Knives Out. All of those you likely love, and you should. But now you know a bit more about what is next.

The question some Netflix fans might have is what news will drop next on social media. Might we find out more release dates? Let's hope. It is the end of the month, of course, and new Netflix Originals will be coming in February, but we also have some great news about the rest of the year, too.

Netflix teases a lot of great series and movie news on social media

How lucky are we to have the Knives Out films on Netflix? They are high entertainment and keep us wanting more even if the storyline, in theory, seems simple. That is the trick that Netflix pulls here; however, the product turns out better than expected. Plus, Daniel Craig and Josh O'Connor together? This is can't-miss.

The final season of You drops on April 24. Netflix has been terrific at creating thrillers recently, and You might be the best. 10 episodes more will probably make us want 200 more.

Del Toro knows how to do horror exceptionally well. If you have not seen Cabinet of Curiosities, you should. Any film with Oscar Isaac and Christoph Waltz is going to be a must-see, no matter the subject material. This could be the best adaptation of Frankenstein ever made.

OK, great. We knew we were going to get a Happy Gilmore 2 only on Netflix, but now we know that it is certain to drop in 2025. We think. But even this tweet is hilarious. "...introducing Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio..." Most of the world already knows him as Bad Bunny. That kind of tongue-in-cheekiness is sure to roll over to what should be a very funny movie.

Unlike some other Netflix shows, viewers are not going to have to wait long between Season 2 of Squid Game and Season 3. Just about six months. Let's hope the third season ties up some of the, "Um...what?"s of the second season. We must have faith.
