If you're a devout fan of teen drama series, Netflix has some exciting news for you and your watch list. Whether you're waiting for the next season of My Life with the Walter Boys or you're counting down the days when we can reunite with the Pogues in the final season of Outer Banks, the streamer is the home to so many great teen dramas, but another one is already on the way.

Joining the streaming service's ranks alongside the recent hit teen sports drama Finding Her Edge, which centered on a young figure skating star caught up in a love triangle, Netflix continues to line its roster of young adult sports series. This time, Netflix gets off the ice and into the water to follow a teenage girl who winds up on a boys' rowing team in the exciting new series Crew Girl.

Crew Girl takes us to Easton Prep in September 2026 on Netflix

Netflix announced in June 2026 that the new teen drama series Crew Girl releases on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026. The series contains eight episode that will be released all at once, and judging by how quickly fans tend to consume these kinds of series, it won't take long for viewers to complete a full binge-watch of what's sure to become an instant favorite. Check out behind the scenes pics below!

While you would think that Crew Girl is based on a book, the series comes from showrunner Vivian Lin and centers on an original idea that feels like one we would have read in a page-turning best-seller. Bet star Miku Martineau plays Teagan Tao, a talented rower whose bright future in the sport is turned upside down when a family scandal sends her off to an elite school on the East Coast.

Suddenly, Teagan's the only girl on the crew team at Easton Prep and must fight tooth and nail for her position on the squad, which doesn't trust her leadership. Before long, she's also thrust in the middle of the confident captain Josh Regis (Sam Braun) and his exact opposite Cam Dillinger (Kyle Clark), as their rivalry seemingly turns into an unexpected love triangle with the new girl.

The cast of Crew Girl also includes Jessica Paré as Teagan's mother Ella and Thomas Cadrot as Coach Matt Hayden. It's unclear what the situation is between Teagan's mother and father and exactly what this family scandal is that sent Ella and Teagan off to the East Coast, but knowing how teen dramas and romantic shows go, we're already ever so slightly shipping Teagan's mom and coach.

As of Netflix's announcement of the Crew Girl release date alongside a collection of behind the scenes photos from set, the streamer hasn't shared any official photos from the series or any footage in the form of a teaser or trailer. But as we get closer to the Sept. 10 release date, Netflix will be dropping all kinds of goodies to get fans excited for the new series.

Stay tuned for more Crew Girl news and updates!
