Deion Sanders is collaborating with Netflix for a series based on his life, set to air sometime in 2026. Sanders has accomplished many things under almost as many names in his life.

PRIME TIME, PRIME, and Coach Prime are the names he has been called throughout his NFL and College Hall of Fame playing and CFB coaching career.

Sanders is currently the head coach of the University of Colorado Buffaloes. For the first time as the Buffs head coach, he will enter the 2025 season without his two sons on the team: Shedeur Sanders, quarterback, drafted by the Cleveland Browns, and Shilo Sanders, safety, undrafted free agent, signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What fans can expect from Deion Sanders' Netflix series

Netflix is no stranger to programming about NFL Hall of Famers. With Brett Favre's documentary coming out on May 20 and a planned project with John Elway later this year, the streaming service continues to tell the stories of these legendary players.

The Deion Sanders series is currently in production. The end product is expected to be three 60-minute episodes. Sanders is actively involved in the telling of his story and is thrilled that the world will finally be hearing it straight from him.

There is no firm release date, nor is there anything known about whether the drama surrounding Shedeur will be shown. Many expected the quarterback to be chosen in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft, but he fell to the fifth round. He ended up being one of the stories of the draft.

Some might have blamed Deion's influence on how Shedeur approached interviews as a factor. Or maybe not. Maybe we will find out during the docuseries.

When the series announcement was made, Deion said: “It means so much to finally be able to tell my unfiltered story, my TRUTH. I was PRIME TIME, then I dropped the TIME and went by PRIME, and now I’m in the third quarter of my life, and they call me COACH PRIME. Y’all knew a part of me each step of the way, but you never knew DEION … and I’m excited to share that with you all — the highs and lows, the truths and tragedies, and everything in between. They can’t stop or contain what God has purposed.”
