There are so many great shows to watch on Netflix right now, whether it's the latest hit original series we can't get enough of or the acquired series from around the television landscape we're just now discovering. Between diving into Bridgerton season 4 and experiencing the exciting twists and turns of The Hunting Party, we've never had more options to binge-watch on Netflix.

Thankfully, the streaming service continues to deliver the best of the best, and in April 2026, our watch lists will be receiving two of the funniest NBC comedies you need to check out. After boosting the profile of the aforementioned NBC crime drama, the next two series to hail from the network that Netflix will pick up are the laugh-out-loud comedies Happy's Place and St. Denis Medical.

Happy's Place and St. Denis Medical are coming to Netflix in April

Both Happy's Place and St. Denis Medical are coming to Netflix in the United States on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 — and that's no April Fool's Day joke! The release date might be ironic given that they are comedies, but each series will drop on Netflix on the first of April. Currently, only the first seasons of both shows will be added, as the second seasons are still airing weekly on NBC.

Happy's Place premiered on NBC in October 2024 and marked Reba McEntire's long-awaited return to the sitcom world. In the multi-camera comedy, the country music star plays Bobbie McAllister, who inherits her late father's titular bar in Tennessee. However, Bobbie's shocked to meet Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), the 20-something half-sister she never knew she had. The sisters with a wide generation gap soon begin running the bar together and navigating their new relationship.

The sitcom also features an ensemble cast that includes Rex Linn, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and McEntire's Reba costar Melissa Peterman. During the second season's run, NBC renewed Happy's Place for season 3, ensuring that it will return with new episodes during the 2026-2027 television season. Hopefully, season 2 will make its way to Netflix after it finishes airing, which is exactly the same that could be said about its network-mate, St. Denis Medical.

The mockumentary medical comedy St. Denis Medical premiere in November 2024 and comes from the same team behind NBC's previous workplace comedy hit Superstore. Wendi McLendon-Covey leads the series as Joyce Henderson, the unpredictable executive director of the titular Oregon hospital, which is underfunded and constantly going through changes. Its dedicated staff of doctors and nurses are an eclectic mix of personalities simply trying to make it through the day.

St. Denis Medical also stars Alison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper, David Alan Grier, and Kaliko Kauahi. Like Happy's Place, NBC also renewed the medical comedy for season 3, which is expected to again contain 18 episodes. The first season will drop on Netflix this April, a week shy of the season 2 finale on April 6. If you can't wait for season 2 to possibly drop on Netflix in the near future, you watch watch the current seasons of both shows on Peacock.
