Another season of My Life with the Walter Boys is officially in the books, and if you thought the season 2 finale cliffhanger was brutal, just wait until you reach the final moments of season 3! Needless to say, there are major spoilers ahead from the My Life with the Walter Boys season 3 finale, so if you haven’t yet finished the season and want to avoid spoilers, this is your chance to bounce.

Season 3 was a whirlwind season that took Jackie, Cole, and Alex on quite a journey, and that journey ended with a series of cliffhangers that are going to keep fans talking until season 4 arrives. Let’s start with the biggest cliffhanger, one that left yet another member of the Walter family’s life up in the air via a shocking turn of events.

Cole gets into a serious car crash

After messing things up with Jackie and breaking up with her, Cole ends the season realizing the mistake he’s made and comes to his senses and realizes that what he has with Jackie is more important than racing. He comes to this realization before the drag race qualifier, racing out before competing.

On his way to see Jackie, his opponent, Danvers, catches up to him and confronts Cole about leaving before the race.

“You missed the race, Walter. So that means no money. No qualifier. And that means you owe me. I needed that win, and you took it from me,” Danvers angrily remarks.

Rather than apologizing, Cole brushes Danvers off as he tells him he’s got somewhere to be. This only further antagonizes Danvers, who is enraged that Cole not only cost him the chance at the prize money but now is brushing him off. In a fit of rage, Danvers races after Cole and rams Cole’s car from behind. Rather than pulling over or stopping his car, Cole continues to drive away, which is when Danvers hits Cole’s car again. The impact sends the car flying off the road and rolls over several times before finally coming to a stop as the credits roll.

Cole’s fate is left up in the air, and Netflix definitely gave fans a reason to worry as the car accident looked quite serious. Given how central Cole is to the series, we don’t imagine My Life with the Walter Boys is about to kill Cole off; however, his fate is certainly left up in the air.

Jackie and Elliot kiss

While Cole’s fate is the biggest cliffhanger from the finale, it’s not just his life fans are left to wonder about, as the show also leaves us to wonder about his future with Jackie as well.

Season 3 might have started with Cole and Jackie finally getting back together, but the pair broke up almost as fast as they got back together, which was more than a little frustrating. As the season drew to a close, Cole realized the mistake he had made in breaking up with Jackie and regrets letting Elliot make him feel like he was holding her back and wasn’t good enough for her.

As Cole was rushing off to make up with Jackie, she was getting cozy with Elliot, and their friendly banter evolved into something more. As the season came to a close, Elliot and Jackie took to the dance floor at the community center’s opening, and their dance ended with Elliot closing the space between them and kissing Jackie.

The season ended right after their kiss, so it’s unclear whether the kiss will lead to something more or if Jackie will make it clear to Elliot that she’s not interested in him romantically, but the kiss was one that is sure to leave fans talking through the summer and wondering if Elliot will remain an obstacle for Cole and Jackie in season 4—assuming Cole does survive his car accident.

Alex tries to profess his feelings to Kiley but it might be too late

While Alex might have started the season with a broken heart after his breakup with Jackie, the breakup helped him to realize the feelings he has for his longtime best friend. The only problem with this revelation on his part is that Kiley is currently in a relationship with Dylan.

That didn’t stop the pair from kissing in the penultimate episode of the season. After the kiss, Alex tried to brush it off the next day at school, calling it a mistake and apologizing for his actions as he informed Kiley he never meant to be that guy. However, he realizes over the course of the finale that the kiss was no mistake and his feelings for Kiley are not some fleeting crush but very real.

As the season ends, Alex goes to tell Kiley he made a mistake as he drops by her house to inform her that he wanted to tell her something. Unfortunately, the conversation is interrupted when Dylan comes down to the door, informing Kiley that her grandma needed help upstairs before Alex was able to profess his true feelings. Kiley excuses herself as Dylan closes the door in Alex’s face in a particularly awkward moment considering that hours earlier Dylan told Alex to give Kiley space.

This is definitely a hard one, as we love Alex and Kiley, but Dylan is a great guy, and we also really love him and Kiley! It’ll be interesting to see where season 4 might take the group, but it’s clear a new love triangle has developed, and this one is likely to get even messier next season!
