My Life With The Walter Boys season 3 adds Virgin River actor in mystery role

My Life With The Walter Boys season 2 hasn't even come out yet, and Netflix is already building excitement for season 3 with a surprise casting announcement. An actor from Virgin River has reportedly joined the upcoming installment in a mysterious new role.

According to Deadline, Chad Rook has been cast as a recurring guest star for My Life with the Walter Boys season 3. He is set to appear in a minimum of four episodes in the third season, which is expected to begin shooting in Calgary soon.

Unfortunately, details about the character he will play haven’t been revealed yet. However, we doubt the character will be part of any love triangles involving Jackie. The actor wouldn't be able to pass for a teenager, so it’s more likely he’ll portray an adult figure in the series. Perhaps a new teacher, a family friend, or someone with ties to Katherine and George. Whoever he ends up portraying, it'll be exciting to see what he brings to the hit teen show.

Rook is the only cast member to be added to the season 3 cast so far. He's best known for his previous role as Spencer in Virgin River. He's also had roles in other TV shows such as Siren, The 100, The Flash, Supernatural, Joe Pickett and Billy the Kid. Besides My Life With The Walter Boys season 3, we'll see him next in the HBO supernatural horror series It: Welcome to Derry.

Melanie Halsall created My Life With The Walter Boys. It's a teen drama that's based on the book of the same name by Ali Novak. The story revolves around Jackie Howard, a young girl who, after losing her parents in a tragic accident, moves in with her late mother’s best friend Katherine and her large family in their home in rural Colorado. While trying to adjust to her new life, Jackie finds herself caught in a complicated love triangle with two boys. The kicker? The two boys are her new guardians' sons.

The first season is already streaming on Netflix, with the second installment slated to be released on the streaming platform on Aug. 28, 2025. Nikki Rodriguez stars as Jackie Howard, while Noah LaLonde and Ashby Gentry portray the teen boys Jackie falls for, Cole and Alex Walter. Also in the cast are Johnny Link, Corey Fogelmanis, Connor Stanhope, Zoë Soul, Jaylan Evans, Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas, and many others.

My Life With The Walter Boys season 3 has not been given an official release date yet, but it's confirmed to come out sometime in 2026.
