Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to come to Netflix in a myriad of ways no matter if you really want them to or not. Netflix signed a massive deal with the royals to have them produce content anywhere from children's entertainment to what is supposed to be a cooking show. The Duke and Duchess also should produce scripted series for adults as well.

All that Netflix viewers have gotten so far are four docuseries, with Harry & Meghan being by far the most successful. A sports series called Polo was a flop. So have most of the other shows. In fact, the Polo fiasco seems to make Harry the character on Mad Men, who simply has inherited enough money to spend a lot of it to make jai alai a viewing experience on TV, but no one really wants it.

Money can have a way of making one feel like they have unlimited power, but that person might also lose their ability to make good artistic decisions if they had that ability to begin with. One can only imagine how bad a scripted Harry and Meghan-produced series might be if they cannot truly make good docuseries. Still, Netflix and the royals have a $100 million deal, and the streamer is fully supporting Harry and Meghan's visions so far.

Meghan Markle's new Netflix series appears to be a self-important passion project

Which leads us to Meghan's new "cooking" show, With Love, Meghan. The title even sounds like a Hallmark movie instead of what the show seems to be: a self-important passion piece about Meghan. She will play hostess to famous friends, but viewers will not see much of Harry or the couple's children.

But if you are looking for cooking tips and excellent recipes, which one might assume the show would deliver, you might be waiting for a long time. According to the Daily Mail, there won't be any recipes because there won't be any cooking. What exactly are viewers supposed to be watching for when the series is released on March 4?

In other words, it would seem as if the royals are really counting on people just believing they are so entertaining to watch that Netflix subscribers can just see Meghan being Meghan, but not offering any kind of new information. For a couple that does not want to appear as self-absorbed as they imply the royal family is, it would seem as if Harry and Meghan have no greater plan to come across as anything different.
