Major Virgin River season 8 updates could be coming very soon

Christmas might be about to come early for Virgin River fans who have been desperate for details about the show’s next season!

In just a few short days, the stars of Virgin River will be making their way to Nashville to participate in the inaugural Meet Cute Con, a new convention dedicated to celebrating the stories that remind us to believe in second chances, lifelong friendships, and happily-ever-afters. The three-day event looks to bring fans a new kind of convention celebrating shows that you might not see gracing the halls of San Diego Comic-Con or hitting the Main Stage at New York Comic Con, including Netflix’s hit romantic drama Virgin River.

The inaugural event will give fans the chance to meet some of Virgin River’s biggest stars through meet-and-greet opportunities, but the real highlight of the event comes via the planned Q&A sessions. These special panels will bring together stars from the show to discuss working on Virgin River, and there is a really good chance that the attending stars will spill the tea on Virgin River season 8 with some hints of what’s to come for Mel, Jack, and all of our favorite residents of the quaint town of Virgin River.

Stars Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Colin Lawrence, and Kandyse McClure are all confirmed to appear at the event and are expected to participate in planned panels and Q&As with guests, meaning there is a very good chance that new information about the show’s eighth season will emerge. As we’ve learned over the years, you truly never know what secrets might come out at events such as this.

There have been many moments when a star has accidentally let a big reveal slip during conversation, and we’re certainly hoping that we’ll get a fun soundbite or two from the Virgin River panels and Q&As planned throughout the event from November 6 to 8. Given that Benjamin Hollingsworth will be attending, we’re really hoping he might give us a hint that Brady will survive the events of the season 7 cliffhanger and potentially tease what could be ahead for him and Bree.

With Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson both on hand, it also seems highly likely fans will get some updates about what's ahead for Mel and Jack in season 8. We would literally welcome any crumbs Breckenridge and Henderson might be able to offer about where season 8 will take Mel and Jack next, especially when it comes to how they’re adapting to parenting. The duo has been generous in sharing updates in past interviews and social media videos, so we’re hoping they’ll serve up some major news about the season ahead over the course of the Meet Cute Con event!

Of course, the biggest updates we’d love to see come out of the Meet Cute Con event would be an update on when season 8 might arrive on Netflix and any hints of additional seasons. While the odds of getting a renewal announcement or release window might be low, there’s always a chance that Netflix could have something up its sleeve and allow the cast to share an exciting update with those in attendance. After all, the cast of Virgin River is the biggest draw of the inaugural event

Even if we don’t get a release window or renewal news, fans should walk away with their first new Virgin River season 8 updates in months and some fun cast soundbites to enjoy as we wait for season 8’s arrival next year. That's certainly reason to celebrate as we're dying for updates on our favorite romantic drama!
