In the vast, ever-changing landscape of streaming, Netflix has cemented itself as the ultimate destination for entertainment. But its true genius lies not just in original content, but in the incredible array of licensed shows and films it brings to our screens as well. For horror enthusiasts, this is nothing short of a revelation.

While original projects can be hit or miss, Netflix’s commitment to licensing iconic horror films means that fans never have to compromise on scares, suspense, or cinematic quality. And it's not just older horror flicks either. The streamer continually expands its collection with newer licensed horror content as well.

In fact, Netflix is getting ready to add Jordan Peele's latest horror film to its library this April. So if you didn't get the chance to see it on the big screen back in September 2025, you're about to have the perfect opportunity to watch it from the comfort of your own home very soon!

Jordan Peele's Him is coming to Netflix in April 2026

In the world of sports, greatness is often treated like destiny. Athletes train their entire lives for a single shot at glory, sacrificing their bodies, identities, and sometimes even their sense of self to reach the top. But what if that pursuit of greatness came at a far more disturbing cost?

That’s the unsettling question at the center of Him, a psychological horror film produced by Jordan Peele that mixes football, fame, and fear into something far more sinister than your typical sports drama. Him is set to make its landing on Netflix on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Don't forget to mark this date down.

We knew that Him would eventually come to Netflix due to the streaming giant's deal with Universal Pictures (movie's distributor). We just didn’t have an official release date. The horror film is currently streaming on Peacock, but it will be removed once it makes the transition to Netflix as part of the licensing deal. Him is then expected to remain on Netflix for 10 months before hopping back over to Peacock.

This means we have an idea of when the movie will depart Netflix. Since Him is coming to Netflix in April 2026,10 months later would put the departure date sometime in February 2027. That said, make sure to keep this in mind if you plan to watch the movie.

Him centers on Cameron “Cam” Cade, a promising young quarterback whose life revolves entirely around football. On the verge of achieving his dream of entering the professional league, Cam’s future seems all but guaranteed. That is, until everything changes overnight.

In a shocking and brutal incident, Cam is attacked by an unhinged fan and suffers a traumatic brain injury just before a major scouting event. The injury doesn’t just threaten his career. It destabilizes his entire sense of identity. Without football, Cam is left questioning who he is and what his future holds. It’s in this vulnerable state that he meets the man who will change everything.

That man is Isaiah White, a legendary quarterback whose fame and skill have made him a living icon. Isaiah offers Cam the chance to train with him at a remote desert compound, promising to restore not only his athletic abilities but also his confidence and sense of purpose. At first, the opportunity seems like a lifeline. But it doesn’t take long for the lines between coaching, manipulation, and something far more sinister to blur.

Up-and-coming actor Tyriq Withers stars in the leading role of Cam, while veteran actor Marlon Wayans plays Isaiah. The movie's cast is also made up of Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000, Naomi Grossman, Tierra Whack, and others.

Him isn't the only licensed horror movie coming to Netflix in April. We also recommend checking out Scream (2022) and A Quiet Place Part II. Scream is set to land on Netflix on April 10, while A Quiet Place Part II will arrive on the streaming platform on April 11.
