Netflix has long been the go-to place for streaming, but when it comes to original horror content, it hasn’t always delivered. Fans looking for truly chilling, edge-of-your-seat scares have often been left disappointed. For a platform that has changed the way we watch entertainment, the lack of consistently strong original horror is hard to ignore and it’s left horror enthusiasts frustrated.

Yet despite this uneven approach to originals, Netflix has more than made up for its missteps with an astonishing collection of licensed horror titles. In fact, the streaming giant is gearing up to add one of the best horror sequels of recent years to its platform. We just have to wait a few more weeks until its release date!

We're not telling any lies! A Quiet Place Part II is really arriving on Netflix next month. In a new press release, the streaming giant revealed its complete list of shows and movies coming to its platform in April 2026. Guess what beloved horror flick made the list? A Quiet Place Part II! If you don't believe us, Netflix even shared this exciting information via a post on its official X page.

So, when exactly is A Quiet Place Part II making its way to Netflix? That'll be Saturday, April 11, 2026. The exact time the movie will drop on this date is unknown, but there's a good chance it'll be released on Netflix at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. That's when we typically see the streaming giant add new content to its platform.

We always like to remind subscribers of the rules of licensed content. While it's great to see your favorite movies and shows land on Netflix, they usually only remain on the platform for a limited time. That's just how licensing agreements work, meaning your favorite films and series may come and go depending on the contracts Netflix has in place. It's currently unknown how long A Quiet Place Part II will remain on Netflix, so if you’ve been waiting to see or rewatch this thrilling sequel, try not to wait too long.

A Quiet Place Part II is the 2021 critically acclaimed sequel to the 2018 horror hit A Quiet Place, aka the film that introduced audiences to a world where silence is survival. It was directed and written by John Krasinski, who also helmed and co-wrote the first film.

In the first movie, the story followed the Abbott family as they tried their best to survive in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by blind, sound-sensitive creatures. A Quiet Place Part II picks up immediately after the first film’s shocking conclusion. Lee Abbott, the father, has sacrificed himself to save Evelyn, Regan, Marcus, and their newborn child. The family must now navigate grief while facing the same relentless threat from the creatures.

The sequel opens with a brief flashback to the very beginning of the invasion, then cuts back to the present, showing the Abbotts struggling to leave the safety of their destroyed home. With supplies running low and danger everywhere, Evelyn and her children are forced to venture into the outside world. Along their journey, they encounter new survivors and face terrifying encounters all while trying to stay alive.

Returning to the screen are Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, Millicent Simmonds as Regan, and Noah Jupe as Marcus. Krasinski even briefly reprises his role as Lee. Joining the sequel's cast are Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, Scoot McNairy, and many others.

Sadly, only A Quiet Place Part II will be making its way to Netflix in April. A Quiet Place and its prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, will not be available on the platform at this time. You'll have to head over to Paramount+ to watch those two movies because that's where they're currently streaming and will remain for the foreseeable future.
