Alright. So you just finished How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, and now you’re left sitting there. After binge-watching all eight episodes, your brain is still trying to process everything. From start to finish, you enjoyed watching the messy, chaotic, hilarious, and somehow deeply relatable lives of Saoirse, Robyn, and Dara unfold.
And now, like any true binge-watcher in the aftermath of a great series, you’re left with that familiar feeling. What do I watch next? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. The post-Belfast slump is real, but the solution is simple. There are other great Netflix series out there that can scratch that same itch. You just have to know where to look.
Lucky for you, we’ve done the digging for you and rounded up three insanely good Netflix shows that are perfect for anyone who loved the laughs, drama, and chaotic fun of How to Get to Heaven from Belfast!

A Man on the Inside
- Creator: Michael Schur
- Cast: Ted Danson, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephanie Beatriz, Mary Steenburgen
- Seasons: 2 and a third season in the works
- Based on: The Mole Agent docufilm by Maite Alberdi
For fans of How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, A Man on the Inside is a perfect follow-up. It’s funny, there's a mystery involved, and it's addictive. It's the type of show that you'll immediately want to tell all your friends about.
Danson stars as Charles Nieuwendyk, a retired college professor whose life had become quiet, predictable, and, let’s be honest, a little dull. Then, out of nowhere, he gets recruited to go undercover as a private investigator at a retirement home when a mysterious case involving a missing heirloom lands in the hands of a private investigator who thinks Charles’s wit, curiosity, and unassuming nature make him the perfect candidate. That's the first season.
Season 2 sees Charles take on a new case. This time, he goes undercover on a college campus to investigate a mysterious theft involving a stolen laptop. A Man on the Inside was recently renewed for a third season by Netflix, so we haven't seen the last of Charles and his daring undercover adventures!

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window
- Creators: Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf
- Cast: Kristen Bell, Michael Ealy, Tom Riley, Mary Holland, Cameron Britton, Shelley Hennig, Samsara Yett
- Seasons: 1
Honestly, the show’s title alone should tell you that this isn’t your typical thriller. It’s long, ridiculous, and totally over-the-top, and that’s exactly the point. The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window fully leans into the absurdity of its premise, giving us a story that’s part mystery, part dark comedy, and all entertainment.
Bell stars as Anna Whitaker, a woman whose life has gone completely off the rails after the death of her daughter and the end of her marriage. She spends her days staring out her window, drinking wine, and imagining the worst. But then, a new neighbor and his young daughter move in across the street, and Anna’s quiet, lonely routine takes a sharp turn.
Suddenly, she thinks she witnesses a violent murder right in their home. The problem? No one believes her. From there, Anna takes matters into her own hands to uncover the truth.

The Residence
- Creator: Paul William Davies
- Cast: Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jason Lee, Ken Marino, Edwina Findley, Randall Park, Molly Griggs
- Seasons: 1
- Inspired by: The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House by Kate Andersen Brower
Most people know Aduba from her iconic role as Crazy Eyes in Orange Is the New Black, but she portrays a much different character in The Residence. She plays Detective Cordelia Cupp, a sharp, witty, and endlessly clever sleuth tasked with solving a murder at the White House.
The series begins with a shocking crime during a high-profile State Dinner. The White House’s chief usher is found dead somewhere in the mansion under mysterious circumstances. Cupp is called in to unravel the case, but she quickly realizes this is no ordinary investigation. The White House is a sprawling, high-stakes environment full of secrets, and almost everyone she meets has something to hide.
With every clue she uncovers, the mystery only grows more complex. Alongside her is FBI Special Agent Edwin Park, who tries to keep Cupp on a straight path while navigating his own doubts about who can be trusted inside the mansion.
