Ginny and Georgia season 4 filming is starting soon (but there's a catch fans won’t like)

Ginny and Georgia is one of the biggest Netflix shows with new seasons on the way! Fans can't wait to learn more about Ginny and Georgia season 4 after the epic season 3 finale.

Well, finally, more details about Ginny and Georgia season 4 filming are beginning to trickle out. We have more outlets reporting dates for production to start, and it's soon!

Ginny and Georgia season 4 starts filming in September 2025

The latest from What's on Netflix, Hollywood North, and other reports indicate the cast and crew will officially start filming Ginny and Georgia season 4 on Sept. 29, 2025, in Toronto, Canada. Production will last through the end of the year and into the beginning of 2026 before wrapping on Feb. 25, 2026.

Now, if there's anything we know about these reported dates, it's that they often change as we get closer to production and during production. For example, we heard for a few months that Outer Banks season 5 was supposed to start filming in April, then it was May, and then it actually started in June. Things happen, delays happen, and that's the nature of TV production. As filming continues, often, those wrap dates get pushed back, too, but it really just depends on how everything goes.

The good news is that we have some ballpark production dates! We know things are moving in the right direction, and that's definitely cause for celebration. We don't get many updates about Netflix shows before Netflix is ready to roll out the first look, teasers, trailers, and all of that, so again, this is good news.

But, it's not all good news!

Ginny and Georgia season 4 probably won't premiere until summer or fall 2026

So, here's the bad news. Production starting this late in the year and continuing into the spring, basically, is not a good thing for fans waiting for season 4. It means we're in for a very long wait between seasons.

Season 3 just premiered on Netflix on June 5, and it's going to be at least July before we see season 4 on Netflix. We've noticed the streamer usually waits at least four months between filming ending and the new season premiere. It can be a lot longer than that, too, but it's almost never less than four months!

So, at the earliest, we could see Ginny and Georgia season 4 in July, but that doesn't mean Netflix will actually release the new season then. It's usually more like a six or eight-month wait between seasons. Production on season 3 wrapped in September 2024, and Netflix didn't release the new season until June. That's about nine months. I would expect a similar gap between season 4 filming and the release on Netflix.

If that happens, Ginny and Georgia season 4 would be released somewhere around October or November. I don't think it will be that long, personally, but August, September, or October seems to be right in that window.

Fortunately, Ginny and Georgia fans are quite used to waiting. Since the show premiered in 2021, there's been at least a two-year gap between each season. Luckily, it's looking like we probably won't have to wait two years between season 3 and season 4!
