I can’t even begin to explain how much I love Ginny and Georgia. This show is messy, it’s wild, it’s heartbreaking, and it’s insanely addictive. Georgia? She’s chaotic, brilliant, infuriating, and somehow makes you love her anyway. Ginny? She’s smart, sarcastic, painfully real, and calls out everyone’s BS in ways I wish I could in real life.

And the rest of the characters? Some are lovable, while others are insufferable. With every new season, I'm completely drawn back into their world. In the latest installment, a lot happened with the mother-daughter duo. From Ginny ending up pregnant and choosing to end the pregnancy, to Georgia ending up pregnant as well, but not knowing who the father is.

The third season was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions, and it only left me more excited for the upcoming Ginny and Georgia season 4. However, there's one thing about the previous season that annoyed me. One of my favorite characters just wasn't given much to do, and it left me feeling frustrated and quite disappointed.

Ginny and Georgia season 4 needs to give Max a better storyline

Look, I know the teen series is mainly about Ginny and Georgia and their complicated, messy, and often chaotic lives, but Max still shouldn't have been pushed to the background or sidelined in season 3. She’s one of the most vibrant, bold, and entertaining characters on the show, and her energy and humor add so much to the series.

Even though Max appeared fairly often in season 3, her storyline was honestly pretty underwhelming. The main things I can recall are that she was working on a play and shared a kiss with her ex-girlfriend. But beyond that, her arc felt almost nonexistent.

Most of the time, she seemed relegated to supporting the other characters, who, frankly, didn’t even appreciate her efforts. Ginny and the rest of MANG basically excluded her from activities they were doing all season, and Marcus treated her horribly. Sure, Max can be a bit much at times, but she doesn't mean any harm.

Her intentions are always genuine. She wants to help and be included, but the way the other characters treated her made it feel like her presence was more of a nuisance. Heading into the fourth season, Max is single and no longer as close with MANG. I'm sure we'll see the friend group work things out, but I want to see Max get a better storyline. I'm talking about one where she gets her own spotlight.

I feel like she was treated better in previous seasons. But in season 3, it's like the writers didn't know what to do with her. That needs to change for Ginny and Georgia season 4, or else it would be a huge disservice to one of the show’s best characters.
