Full list of all Netflix movies nominated for 2025 Oscars

The Academy Awards nominations were announced on Thursday, and while not a great variety of Netflix films made the list, one received a vast number of nods. It likely will not surprise you that the film is Emilia Pérez. It could be in a heated battle with two other music-related films for the Best Picture winner. Those would be A Complete Unknown and Wicked.

Netflix also made history as Karla Sofia Gascón became the first trans woman to be nominated for an Oscar. She was given a nod for her role in Emilia Pérez. In fact, all the acting nominations for Netflix were involved in the same movie. That is how good it is.

The Academy Awards will be help on March 2 at 7 pm ET, and will be hosted by the excellent Conan O'Brien. One can watch the ceremony on ABC, and stream on the ABC app and Hulu.
