Goodness, Netflix is about to deliver the drama. Sure, the streaming giant has already brought us a bunch of drama and thrillers in the first half of 2025, but Netflix has scheduled even more for the rest of the year.
Will all the following be released? They are supposed to be. One already has a release date, but the rest do not.
They were part of the slate of series that Netflix announced would be coming out at some point this year, but the lack of firm release dates should make us nervous. Surely, Netflix would not lie to us, right? At least, these potentially great shows are arriving at some point.
4 dramas Netflix fans will not want to miss that are scheduled in the second half of 2025

Death by Lightning (not firm release date)
You know you need more movies about James Garfield, right? He was the 20th president of the United States and he was assassinated by his greatest fan, Charles Guiteau. (Somehow, due to the times today, this series feels relevant, sadly, today.)

My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 (comes out on August 21)
This show works even though it seems overly complicated about people loving others who don't love them back. You might even say to yourself, "Oh, I can't!" The cast and buy-in from the creators give the show lift, though.
Worse, or maybe even better, series creator Melanie Halsall has promised season 2 will be "bigger and better." So, did they not try very hard in season 1? Why does it need to be better? We like it how it is. We just need to know what will happen with Jackie.

Untamed (no firm release date)
The promise might sound weird, and, well...a stretch. It takes place in Yosemite National Park, and a national park agent has to investigate a murder. A quick Google search says this could be the truth. In other words, we can suspend disbelief enough to buy into this series.
The cast is intriguing, at least. Eric Bana (remember him?) plays the lead as agent Kyle Turner. Sam Neill plays Paul Souter, who is the chief park ranger. There seems to be a darkness to the park's past, and anyone might be a suspect. Seems like dark fun.
Cast:
- Eric Bana (Black Hawk Down, Troy) as Kyle Turner
- Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) as Paul Souter
- Rosemarie DeWitt (La La Land) as Jill Bodwin, Turner’s ex-wife
- Lily Santiago (La Brea) as Naya Vasquez
- Wilson Bethel (Daredevil) as Shane Maguire
