Beauty in Black season 2 is finally back with its last eight episodes, and the hit Netflix drama wastes no time throwing viewers right back into the drama. At the center of it all is Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, who has officially stepped into a new level of power.

No longer fighting to survive on the outside, she’s now firmly planted within the Bellarie empire. She's holding influence that once felt completely out of reach. But with that power comes a growing list of enemies, many of whom are closer to her than ever before. As Beauty in Black season 2 part 2 unfolds, the show continues to juggle its signature mix of family betrayal, business warfare, and personal drama.

But amid all of that high-level scheming, one storyline really sticks out in these new episodes. It centers on Jules, played by Charles Malik Whitfield. For most of the series, Jules has been the definition of control. As the Bellaries’ shady head of security, he’s the one who handles problems before they spiral. He's the one who ensures that chaos stays contained. He’s not someone who gets caught off guard.

That's until this new batch of episodes. His son, Glen (Ace Small), becomes a focal point in Beauty in Black season 2 part 2. If you recall from the part 1 finale, Glen’s storyline took a sudden and brutal turn after a misunderstanding. While he was in the barn's hayloft with Sylvie (Bailey Tippen), Rain (Amber Reign Smith) walked in and believed he was sexually assaulting her.

Acting on impulse, she intervened. But in the chaos, Glen was pushed over the edge of the loft. He fell hard onto the concrete below, leaving him severely injured and unconscious. We were left wondering if he would survive. Now, we know the answer with the release of Beauty in Black season 2 part 2.

Major spoilers are ahead from Beauty in Black season 2 part 2!

Yes, Jules's son dies in Beauty in Black season 2 part 2

At the beginning of Beauty in Black season 2 part 2, Glen is quickly taken to the hospital by one of Jules’ men. It isn’t long before Jules finds out about the incident and rushes there himself. But while viewers know the truth about what happened, Jules is given a false version of events by Officer Alex (Bryan Tanaka). He tells Jules that Glen was injured after falling off a horse at the barn.

Jules immediately senses that something about the story doesn’t add up. Even without concrete proof, he can’t shake the feeling that Kimmie may be involved somehow. As Glen remains hospitalized, Jules spends nearly all his time by his son’s side. But the situation takes a devastating turn when doctors inform him that Glen is brain-dead. This leaves Jules with no choice but to make the decision to remove him from life support.

But just before he goes through with it, he walks into the hospital room and finds an emotional Sylvie there. He already knows that Sylvie is Kimmie's sister, and he thinks she knows what really happened to Glen since she's so shaken up. However, Sylvie also lies and tells him that Glen fell off a horse. Jules doesn't let her just leave, though. No, he has her stay there while Glen is being taken off life support.

So, yes, Glen does die in Beauty in Black season 2 part 2. Does Jules ever find out the truth about what happened to his son by the end of the season? No, but it's made pretty clear that he's not going to stop digging. We'll just have to wait until Beauty in Black season 3 drops to see how things play out.

Beauty in Black season 2 part 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
