Bridgerton is finally back! The first half of season 4 is now streaming on Netflix, and as expected from this dazzling series, it delivers all the romance, drama, and scandal fans have come to adore.
This season, all eyes are on Benedict Bridgerton, the charming, witty, and slightly unpredictable second son, as he embarks on his own journey of love. It all begins at a masquerade ball thrown by his mother, where he meets a mysterious woman whose presence instantly turns his world upside down. Hidden behind an elegant mask, she is bold, clever, and unlike anyone he has ever encountered. It's Sophie Baek, a young woman whose intelligence, spirit, and hidden depth challenge Benedict in ways he never expected.
But Bridgerton season 4 isn't just about Benedict and Sophie. It doesn't just tell their love story. It also delves deeper into Violet and Lord Marcus's slow-burning romance. If you recall from season 3, the widow Violet and the charming Lord Marcus shared a series of tentative encounters that hinted at an undeniable connection. From polite introductions to stolen glances at social events, fans were left wondering if an official relationship would ever blossom between the two.
Now that Bridgerton season 4 part 1 is out, fans are even more eager to see whether that long-simmering spark finally turns into something more. So, do Violet and Lord Marcus finally get together in the fourth season? Find out down below!
Spoilers are ahead from Bridgerton season 4 part 1.

Love wins for Violet and Lord Marcus in Bridgerton season 4
Yes, Violet and Lord Marcus do officially get together in Bridgerton season 4. In the early episodes, we catch them stealing secret glances at one another or attempting to spend time together during balls and social gatherings. Lord Marcus even pays Violet a visit at her home. Yet, whenever someone passes by or approaches, the pair quickly shifts into polite, guarded conversation. Their affection remains cautious at first, which is mainly due to Violet.
It isn’t until episode 3 that we learn why Violet has been holding back. She pays a visit to Lord Marcus’s home, where the two finally share a heartfelt, honest conversation. In this scene, Violet admits to Lord Marcus that she is willing to explore a relationship, but only in private. She wants to keep it hidden for now. She doesn't want her children or anyone else to know just yet.
She then goes on to share her doubts about her body and whether she’s prepared to start seeing someone again. Violet explains to Lord Marcus that she hasn't been with anyone since her late husband, Edmund. But Lord Marcus reassures her that he still wants to be with her. He even tells Violet that he's willing to go at whatever pace she's comfortable with. Encouraged by his words, Violet’s mood lifts, and the two share a passionate kiss.
In the Bridgerton season 4 part 1 finale, Violet arranges a secret meeting with Lord Marcus at her estate. She sends her lead maid to dismiss the rest of the staff early, has Francesca host a housewarming party at her and John’s home, and conveniently calls in sick to ensure she and Lord Marcus have privacy. Later that day, they meet under the pretense of "evening tea." Of course, tea is the last thing on their minds, as the encounter leads to Violet and Lord Marcus sleeping together for the first time.
That's the last time we see the couple in Bridgerton season 4 part 1. We'll have to wait until Bridgerton season 4 part 2 drops on Netflix to see how their love story continues to unfold.
