Here's who we'd like to see lead the next potential Bridgerton spinoffs

Netflix has a lot of hits, but Bridgerton? It’s in a league of its own. This show is basically a masterclass in everything we love about binge-worthy TV. There's the sizzling romance, jaw-dropping drama, and enough scandal to make your head spin.

Add in the lavish balls, the juicy gossip, and the swoon-worthy characters who steal your heart and your attention, and it becomes downright impossible not to get completely hooked. Honestly, it's one of the best things Netflix has ever given us. Due to the show's success, the streaming giant expanded the Bridgerton universe by ordering the spinoff Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. This hit period drama told the origin story of one of the show’s most iconic and commanding characters.

It was released on Netflix back in May 2023. However, we haven't seen another spinoff since then. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was just as popular as the original series, so why hasn't the franchise tried to expand even more? Well, that might actually change soon. Deadline got the chance to speak with Bridgerton executive producer Tom Verica on the red carpet of the season 4 premiere in Paris, where he revealed that conversations about potential new spinoffs are already happening behind the scenes.

While he didn’t tease exactly who those future stories would focus on, he did confirm that they would center on familiar characters fans are already invested in. Naturally, this has everyone buzzing about who should lead the next potential Bridgerton spinoffs. Below, we shared our top picks!

Anthony and Kate

If there’s a couple in the Bridgerton universe who absolutely deserve their own spinoff, it’s Anthony and Kate. Sure, we got to follow Anthony's love story in season 2. Anthony and Kate even popped in and out of the third season. However, they were there to support other characters. What about all the messy and hilarious moments of married life that we missed?

Their love story didn’t end with the wedding. A spinoff centered on them could explore the challenges of marriage, the pressures of high society, and the way two fiercely independent people learn to navigate life together. There are a lot of Kanthony fans out there who would love to witness their growth as a couple and see them as parents to their first child who was teased in the third season.

Violet and Edmund

For another spinoff idea, it would be nice to have another prequel series. This time around, it could focus on Violet and Edmund's love story. While the main series has given us the romances, scandals, and drama of their children, we’ve only ever glimpsed the love story that started it all. Violet and Edmund’s story is ripe for exploration.

Who wouldn't want to watch the beginning of their relationship unfold? Through Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, we know a little bit of who Violet was before she met Edmund. But there’s so much more to uncover. And Edmund? The original series barely scratched the surface of the man who would become the steady, loving foundation of the Bridgerton family. A spinoff could show how these two remarkable individuals met, how their personalities clashed and complemented one another, and how their love grew.
