Who remembers summer 2025 when Netflix quietly dropped The Hunting Wives on its platform? What was originally supposed to be a Starz series ended up finding a new home on Netflix, and it somehow became one of those buzzy, slightly scandalous shows everyone suddenly seemed to be watching and talking about at the same time.
Due to the first season being such a major success, Netflix was quick to renew the hit drama series for a second season only two months after its release. Fans have been patiently waiting for it since then. The cameras officially start rolling on The Hunting Wives season 2 in November 2025.
Although the cast and crew are hard at work shooting the highly anticipated second installment, that doesn’t mean some of the cast haven’t already started teasing what’s to come. In fact, series star Brittany Snow has been pretty forthcoming with information about the upcoming season. At the 2026 Golden Globes, Entertainment Tonight got the chance to speak with Snow about The Hunting Wives season 2, and we shared everything she teased.
The Hunting Wives season 2 will feature a character death
While Snow shared a few juicy deets about the second season, what really stuck out was when she mentioned that it will feature a "wild" death. She even told the news outlet that when reading about the death in the script, she immediately stood up on her couch. In other words, we're in for another wild ride. Of course, Snow couldn't say who it is or who would be involved. But it's already got us eagerly speculating.
If you remember the season 1 finale, it concludes with Sophie carrying out a “hit-and-dump” on Margo’s brother. Basically, she runs him over with her car and then disposes of his body in a lake. While Margo never discovers exactly what happened, she senses something is off after hearing heavy breathing on the other end when she calls her brother. Given the number of deaths that occurred in the first season, another death in season 2 wouldn’t exactly be surprising.
But who could it be? Our two top guesses are Jed and Callie. Margo has a weird friendship with Callie, who is practically in love with her. They even had a rough patch at one point in the first season. Obviously, friends are disposable to Margo. Perhaps Callie might do something to cross her in the new season, and Margo won’t hesitate to strike back. Or, maybe Callie might even try to kill her, and that's what leads Margo to take drastic action in response. Remember how easy it was for Callie to kill Jill in the first season, even though they were "friends?"
When it comes to Jed, he kicks Margo out of their house at the end of the first season after learning that she slept with Brad and got pregnant. With them at odds, maybe the tension between Jed and Margo will escalate into something dangerous this season. Of course, this is all speculation. We'll have to just wait and see how The Hunting Wives season 2 unfolds to find out who actually dies.
Below, we shared what else Snow teased about the second season:
"Wild. Every script is a new adventure. They said that we couldn’t top last year and somehow I think we are doing it. I’m surprised. And I even knew what was coming a little bit. So I think people are going to be very shocked, I think people are going to be angry. I think people are going to be surprised and excited.”
From what Snow teased about The Hunting Wives season 2 on the red carpet of the 2026 Golden Globes, it looks like fans are going to be on an emotional rollercoaster throughout. An official release date has not been announced yet, but The Hunting Wives season 2 has been confirmed for a 2026 release. We'll get back to you with this juicy information once it's announced.
