This is the week we saw some big stars lose their place in the top five most-viewed movies and shows on Netflix. The lists on TUDUM have been updated and confirm two new movie entries matched by three new shows. Those have ended the top five runs for both Robert De Niro in Zero Day and Kate Hudson’s Running Point.
The two new movies bring a documentary about a real scam and a Rom-Com to our screens. Both hit the top five in their first week of release. They sit alongside another true-life and actual footage film, and two movies that are a great mix of drama, action, and strong casting. That's helped those two retain their top-five slot, but how much longer?
The top five shows have those gaps left by De Niro and Hudson to fill. It’s a very diverse list this week, with all five being quite different. Unusually, there aren't any Secret Service or FBI-style thrillers in there, but there are plenty of secrets to be uncovered across two of the shows. Add a new fantasy series, a fight or two from Glasgow, a top trending drama, and there’s something for everyone.

5 - The Twister: Caught In The Storm
This documentary is not easy to watch as it relates the true story of the EF-5 tornado that ripped through Joplin, Missouri, in 2011. It tells the tale from the viewpoint of a bunch of teenagers on graduation day as the storm approaches. The interviews with family, friends, and relatives, mixed with frightening actual footage, help explain why 161 people died in the disaster.
4 - Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera
This follow-up jewel heist tale had its second top-five week. It’s got plenty of action and thrills, continuing in a similar theme to the 2018 original. Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. lead the cast well. You know what to expect, and while the first film has the upper hand, this one still delivers.
3 - Con Mum
Another documentary based on a true story enters the top five this week. Con Mum is set in the UK and links the story of a pastry chef with a seemingly wealthy woman who claimed to be his mother. The chef lost over $300,000 to her, and the movie helps you see that she managed to convince him.
2 - The Electric State
This is the movie that is proving the critics wrong. With 7.6 million viewings in the past week, it’s making a very strong showing again in its third week in the top five. The all-star cast and huge budget are helping boost this tale of a robot helping an orphaned teenager find her brother in a post-apocalyptic world.
1 - The Life List
Romantic comedies tend to be very popular, and that’s the case with this just-released movie. It stars Sofia Carson, Kyle Allen, and Connie Britton. Early reviews were light, with just a 36 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but it’s going down well with viewers so far. Rom-Com fans won’t be disappointed.

5 - Wolf King
An animated fantasy series with an age rating of TV-Y7. Some of the fight scenes and scary beasts might make for a nervous watch for younger viewers. Based on the Wereworld novels by Curtis Jobling, the story follows the quest of 16-year-old Drew Ferran to claim the Wolf King throne.
4 - Raw 2025 - March 24, 2025
WWE continues to dominate with a firm hold on the top shows. This was the 12th episode in the current run, and the battles were broadcast live from Glasgow, Scotland. John Cena and Cody Rhodes again feature, and there's a CM Punk promo, too. It’s all building nicely towards Wrestlemania 41 in mid-April.
3 - Million Dollar Secret
There’s a huge fancy house where a bunch of strangers gather to work out which of them has a big secret. It’s The Traitors in disguise, with Peter Serafinowicz as the quirky host. Well, actually, it’s not that much of a disguise. This is very Traitors-like in so many ways. It will take your attention and hold it strongly as they all try to work out who the unidentified millionaire is.
2 - The Residence
The madcap murder mystery set in the White House is a fun watch. Uzo Aduba steals the show as the detective brought in to solve the mystery. The extensive and strong cast adds to the uplifting way the show unfolds. It's addictive and very bingeable.
1 - Adolescence
It’s another top week for Adolescence. Viewing numbers hit a staggering 30.4 million views last week alone. The UK drama continues to get the headlines and lots of social media comments, too. Its hard-hitting screenplay, with that single-shot-per-episode approach, and amazing acting are a winning combination.
