If you’re a fan of thrillers, you probably already know that Netflix has a killer lineup. Seriously, it feels like no matter what kind of suspense you’re in the mood for, there’s something on the platform to pull you in. But if I had to pick the thrillers that really stand out, it’s the Harlan Coben series adaptations. These Netflix shows just… hit differently.

Of course, you're going to have your duds. I’m talking about the ones that promise a gripping mystery but somehow fizzle out, leaving you frustrated or bored halfway through. If I'm being honest, two of the newest adaptations that were released this year weren't that great. Remember Just One Look and Caught? Yeah, those weren't exactly what fans had been hoping for.

However, the new year is set to bring at least two new adaptations. One of them is Run Away, an upcoming mystery thriller that every Harlan Coben fan should have on their watchlist. But it's going to be a while before we see the limited series on our screens. It doesn't come out until Jan. 1, 2026. That said, there’s no better time to catch up on some of the best Coben Netflix adaptations before Run Away arrives. Don't worry! We shared a few below.

The Innocent
Mario Casas as Mateo Vidal in The Innocent | Netflix

The Innocent

  • Cast: Mario Casas, Alexandra Jiménez, Aura Garrido, José Coronado
  • Episodes: 8

Whenever I'm talking about the different Coben adaptations, I always make it a point to mention The Innocent. For some reason, it just doesn't get the credit it deserves. It's truly baffling to me because it's easily one of the best adaptations. I'd even say it's my personal favorite as I've watched it three times. That's not normal for me because when it comes to other Coben adaptations, the maximum number of times I've rewatched them is twice. I'm just saying!

The Innocent starts with a single moment that changes everything. One bad decision. One accident. One life lost. Mateo Vidal spends years trying to rebuild after a bar fight leaves a man dead, doing everything he can to move forward and prove that he’s more than the worst thing he’s ever done. He finds love, stability, and something that finally feels like peace… until it all comes crashing down.

Everything changes with a mysterious phone call that drags Mateo back into danger, unraveling the quiet life he’s worked so hard to create.

Fool Me Once
Michelle Keegan as Maya Stern in Fool Me Once | Vishal Sharma/Netflix

Fool Me Once

  • Cast: Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Richard Armitage, Joanna Lumley, Dino Fetscher, Emmett J. Scanlan, Joe Armstrong
  • Episodes: 8

If you're a huge fan of the Coben adaptations, you've had to at least heard of Fool Me Once. I mean, this series is everything you want from a thriller and then some. It’s suspenseful, twisty, emotional, and completely binge-worthy.

The story follows Maya Stern, a former military pilot whose world has been shattered by the murder of her husband, Joe. Just when she’s trying to pick up the pieces and navigate life with their young daughter, she sees something on her nanny cam that stops her in her tracks. Joe… is alive. How could this be possible? He was dead, or so everyone thought. After this discovery, Maya is thrown into a whirlwind of fear, confusion, and determination as she sets out to uncover the truth.

Missing You
Missing You Production Still | Netflix

Missing You

  • Cast: Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, James Nesbitt
  • Episodes: 5

Remember when I said there were new Coben adaptations that dropped this year, but two of them were bad? Well, the third and final one was Missing You, and that one was pretty solid. Now, this mystery thriller had its moments where I didn’t feel fully engaged. But that's not surprising because even the other shows on this list aren't perfect.

What's great about Missing You is that it still manages to deliver a compelling story with enough twists, suspense, and emotional stakes to keep you watching. That can't always be said for some of the other adaptations.

What would you do if the person you thought was gone forever suddenly appeared? In Missing You, Detective Kat Donovan has spent 11 years mourning her fiancé Josh, who vanished without a trace. But when she unexpectedly comes across his profile on a dating app, everything she thought she knew unravels.

Desperate for answers, Kat then dives headfirst into a dangerous investigation, uncovering hidden secrets, long-buried lies, and shocking truths that force her to question everything she believed about her past, her family, and the people she thought she could trust.
