After three long years away, one of the most fan-favorite Netflix original series will make its triumphant return in November 2024. Arcane season 2 finally arrives in November, which will have diehards over the moon. The series first premiered back in November 2021, but those who have been patiently waiting will be treated to a brand-new season.

Unfortunately, there's a bit of bad news attached to the upcoming release of Arcane season 2. While fans will be receiving a brand new batch of episodes, this will be the final season of the series. Netflix made the announcement of the final season back in June 2024 as the fall release was gearing up. If there's any good news, it's that season 2 will be released across three weeks.

Here's the release schedule for Arcane season 2's new episodes:

  • Act 1: Saturday, Nov. 9
  • Act 2: Saturday, Nov. 16
  • Act 3: Saturday, Nov. 23

Even though some fans would have preferred to binge-watch every episode all at once on Nov. 9, like the release schedule for the first season, Arcane season 2 will drop in three acts in three consecutive weeks. Each act is expected to contain three episodes. If you think of the glass as half full, you will get to savor the final season rather than consuming the entire season in one sitting.

Obviously, you can still opt to skip out on watching acts 1 and 2 on Nov. 9 and Nov. 16 in favor of diving in for a full-season binge-watch on Nov. 23. On the other hand, you could also rewatch acts 1 and 2 before watching act 3 to get the full experience. There are plenty of options for fans as the bittersweet goodbye to the League of Legends series commences.

Arcane season 2 release time

If you're wondering when you can start streaming Arcane season 2 on Netflix, as mentioned above, the season will be released in three parts on Nov. 9, Nov. 16, and Nov. 23, which are all Saturdays. Typically, Netflix releases new shows on Thursdays or Fridays, so don't get confused! Arcane will be released on the weekend for its second and final season.

Netflix will release the episodes at midnight PT and 3 a.m. ET, which means that devoted fans on the West Coast of the United States can stay up late on Friday night to watch each act as soon as they are released at midnight. You'll have to stay up a little later if you're on the East Coast, though other parts of the world will be able to start watching in the morning or in the afternoon.

The action-packed series brings the story to a close with an exciting final season fans won't soon forget. Netflix's official synopsis teases that Jinx's attack on the Council kicks off the conflict in season 2.

"In this final chapter, Jinx's attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun."
