When talks are had about the best Netflix shows, which series usually come up? Chances are, titles like Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Bridgerton quickly make the list, which isn't surprising because each show has proven itself capable of keeping audiences entertained season after season.

Bridgerton, in particular, is a Netflix show that quickly won audiences over with all of its romance, scandal, and drama. From just the first season, viewers were blown away by the beautiful love story between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), the Duke of Hastings.

In fact, fans loved these characters and the actors that portrayed them so much that when Page decided to move on from the series after the first season, they were absolutely heartbroken. What's even worse is that he never returned, not even in a small cameo appearance. While Page won't be coming back for the upcoming fourth season either, fans of the hit period drama still have something exciting to look forward to in the near future when it comes to this amazingly talented actor.

Regé-Jean Page's new movie is scheduled to be released in theaters in April 2026

That's right, Bridgerton fans! Since Page's departure from the period drama, he hasn't just been on the sidelines. He's been busy building an impressive career, taking on new projects, and showing the world that his talent extends far beyond the Duke of Hastings. His latest project is an upcoming romantic comedy titled You, Me & Tuscany.

No, this film won't be on Netflix. That's a bummer, but those who enjoy going to the theaters will be glad to know that the movie is getting a full theatrical release. This means you'll get to see it on the big screen exactly the way a romantic comedy like this is meant to be experienced.

The exact release date is Friday, April 10, 2026. Since we're still far away from this date, tickets are not on sale yet. However, you can expect pre-orders to open closer to the film’s premiere. That said, you might want to keep an eye on your local theater’s website or app.

Page hasn't been in any project of the romance genre in a very long time, so it's going to be exciting to see him step back into that charming, heart-melting space again and remind everyone why he became an instant fan favorite in the first place.

Kat Coiro directed You, Me & Tuscany from a screenplay written by Ryan Engle. The film follows Anna, a young woman who has given up on her dream of becoming a chef and is struggling through her twenties, making bad life choices along the way. After losing her job, she meets Matteo, an attractive Italian man with an empty villa in Tuscany, which inspires her to impulsively go to Italy.

Anna plans to stay at Matteo’s villa without asking, just for one night. But her plan backfires when Matteo’s mother, Gabriella, unexpectedly shows up. To cover herself, Anna pretends she is Matteo’s fiancée. But that lie quickly becomes complicated when Matteo’s cousin, Michael, arrives, and Anna realizes that there might be real romantic chemistry between her and him instead.

Page stars as the charming cousin, Michael, while Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple) takes on the leading role of Anna. Also in the movie's cast are Marco Calvani, Lorenzo de Moor, Aziza Scott, and Nia Vardalos.

We can only hope that Page eventually makes a return to Bridgerton in some capacity in a future season. But for right now, fans will have to settle for seeing him shine in new projects like You, Me & Tuscany. Remember, April 10, 2026, is the official theatrical release date!
