Netflix is notorious for long gaps between seasons, with some shows taking years to return. Yet there are certain series where it’s hard to understand why fans have had to wait so long for new episodes. One of those shows is All of Us Are Dead.
The hit Korean zombie series premiered on Netflix back in January 2022, and tons of people tuned in to see a group of high school students struggling to survive as a deadly virus turns their classmates into flesh-eating monsters. Due to all of its success, the show was renewed for a second season five months later in June. However, it hasn't been easy for fans, who have been anxiously waiting ever since.
We finally received a meaningful update in July 2025 when Netflix announced that production had started on All of Us Are Dead season 2. Now, we've just learned that filming has wrapped. That puts us another step closer to seeing the zombie show back on our screens. However, fans have begun to worry after one of the show’s actresses recently shared an Instagram post that has sparked fears her character might not survive the upcoming season.
Fans fear Choi Nam-ra might not survive in All of Us Are Dead season 2

Cho Yi-hyun, who plays the intelligent and resourceful class president in All of Us Are Dead, recently shared an Instagram post that left fans concerned about her character’s fate. On Feb. 4, Yi-hyun posted several photos on Instagram of what seemed to be from her last day of filming All of Us Are Dead season 2. But it's the caption that immediately caught fans' attention and sent the fandom into a frenzy. The post's caption is half in Korean, but we translated it into English. It reads, "Goodbye, Nam-ra. Goodbye, my dream."
Why would Yi-hyun bid farewell to her character? That’s exactly what has fans on edge. Maybe she simply meant goodbye because filming wrapped, but the way she put it seems unusually dramatic. The words “Goodbye, Nam‑ra. Goodbye, my dream” feel far more final than a typical wrap message, leaving fans wondering if it’s hinting at something darker for season 2.
One Instagram user reacted to her post, writing, "goodbye namra? NOOO." Another commented, "Why "Goodbye"?? I don't want to."
Choi Nam‑ra, who survived the first season as a half‑zombie hybrid, has always been a fan favorite due to her courage, quick thinking, and kind heart. At the end of the first season, Nam-ra decided to leave her friends behind after she realized that her half‑zombie condition made her too dangerous to stay with them. However, she would reappear three and a half months later when the surviving students returned to the ruins of Hyosan High, revealing that she had found other half‑zombie hybrids like herself. That's where the first season left off.
Heading into All of Us Are Dead season 2, it’s clear that Nam-ra will still be alive. However, Yi‑hyun’s cryptic Instagram post has left us questioning just how safe Nam‑ra will be this time around. While we don't know if half‑zombie hybrids can be killed, we'll likely learn more about this in the second season. Obviously, we don't want to see Nam-ra meet a tragic end, but Yi‑hyun’s ominous farewell has us bracing for the worst.
We hope that Yi-hyun just meant her farewell was about wrapping production and saying goodbye to the character for now, rather than hinting at an actual death for Nam‑ra. However, we'll just have to wait and see if her character survives the second season once it comes out.
