Last year, Maestro was the Netflix movie with the most nominations at the Academy Awards. In 2025, Emilia Pérez was the most-nominated Netflix-produced film. In other words, the streamer appears to do an excellent job making films with a heavy music influence. One might wonder if Netflix can work its magic again this year and give us another film like those two.

But Emilia Pérez is not the only Oscar nominee that your favorite streaming service has released. Five other films are also on the list, though they have just one nomination each compared to Emilia Pérez, which has 13. That is as many as any Academy Award-nominated film has this year.

The movie has a decent chance of winning Best Picture, too, though it may not be the favorite. Variety, for instance, picks Anora to take home the most important trophy of the night. We should hope that the site is not correct, though. It does not have Emilia Pérez taking home any wins.

How to watch and stream the 2025 Academy Awards

But let's say you want to watch the Oscars just in hopes that Variety is incorrect. That is easy enough to do, and you can both watch on your television set or livestream from any other device. Plus, the host is Conan O'Brien, which makes the entire ceremony worth watching, no matter if you care who wins or not.

The Academy Awards will take place on March 2, 2025, and will start at 7 pm ET (that is 4 pm PT for you people on the West Coast). You can watch it on ABC. You can also stream the event at ABC.com, the ABC app, Hulu, YouTubeTV, FuboTV, and AT&T TV. You may need a subscription for almost all of those, however.

If you love watching the red carpet, you can do that starting at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) officially, but other networks, like E!, will show red carpet activities well before.
