A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 sets the perfect release date on Netflix

There's finally some exciting news to share with fans of the beloved Netflix original series A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. If you have been waiting to get back into the world of Pip Fitz-Amobi since the first season dropped back in July 2024, all of your patience will soon be rewarded. Netflix officially set the perfect release date for season 2 and shared first-look images from the new episodes!

As revealed on April Fool's Day, but was no joke, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 releases on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 on Netflix. The new season arrives just under two years since the series first debuted on Netflix, and it's coming just before the busy summer stretch of new releases hitting Netflix week after week. Plus, a lot of small-screen favorites will have already ended, making late May the perfect time to devote a full weekend to a murder mystery binge-watch.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 sets May 2026 release date on Netflix

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 contains six episodes that are each about 45 minutes, which allows for an easily digestible one-sitting watch if you want to avoid spoilers. The new season picks up in the aftermath of the Andie Bell case in season 1 while also finding Pip taking on another new case involving the disappearance of her friend's brother.

"After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip (Emma Myers) is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ (Henry Ashton) trial approaches, Connor’s (Jude Morgan-Collie) brother Jamie (Eden H Davies) suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him."

Wednesday star Emma Myers returns to lead the cast as Pip Fitz-Amobi, and the rest of the A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 cast includes Eden H Davies, Zain Iqbal, Asha Banks, Yali Topol Margalith, Jude Morgan-Collie, Henry Ashton, and Freddie England. Additional familiar faces are expected to return in recurring and guest roles with other new faces surely popping up.

Based on the novel of the same name by Holly Jackson, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 adapts Jackson's second novel in the series, Good Girl, Bad Blood. There's one more book in the series, which is titled As Good As Dead, and the prequel novella Kill Joy. It's currently unknown how many seasons the show will continue for, but Netflix should definitely adapt all three books.

While the first season featured author Holly Jackson as an executive producer, this time around, she teamed up with series creator and writer Poppy Cogan to adapt Good Girl, Bad Blood into an exciting season of television. That's an added layer of excitement for the second season, the fact that the author is even more involved in the creation of the show. Fans are so lucky!

Netflix hasn't shared a teaser or trailer for the second season just yet, but as we get closer to the official release date in May, the streamer will definitely share the full trailer to give fans a taste of what's to come.
