Netflix is adding 18 new movies and shows this week (Dec. 10, 2023)

A new week is here, and with it comes a few new movies and shows to Netflix. While there isn’t a ton to choose from, there are definitely a few new things you’ll want to check out, including the second part of the new season of The Crown, a new dystopian miniseries, and a new holiday romance.

First up and probably the biggest new show coming this week is The Crown season 6 part 2! It hits Netflix on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023.

Following the death of Princess Diana, the family will still be dealing with the fallout of that, but we will also jump forward and see the introduction of Kate Middleton. Elizabeth will also be struggling with her legacy after her mother and sister’s deaths. We may also see more of the relationship between Charles and Camilla. This will be the final season of the show.

This week also brings Carol & The End of the World. The animated miniseries comes to Netflix on Friday, Dec. 15, and follows a young woman as she struggles to find the meaning of life and deal with the chaos that comes when there is about to be a planetary apocalypse. If there is a “right” way to deal with that, I would love to know it.

The Crown season 5 part 2 and Yoh! Christmas coming to Netflix this week

While everyone else is giving in to their desires, Carol is much more uneasy and worried.

If you’re looking for a new Christmas romance as we get closer to the holiday, you may want to check out Yoh! Christmas on Friday, Dec. 15. The romance follows a 30-year-old healthcare worker, who, when pressured by her mother to get a boyfriend, lies and says she already has one. Now, she has to find a man to bring to Christmas Eve dinner, and she only has 24 days to do it. Hijinks and bad dates ensue!

This week also brings Holiday in the Vineyards on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and The Hills season 3-4 on Friday, Dec 15.
